Business Details
We began curating and collecting antique doors from India in 2010. Our founders, Era and Manoj, have spent fifteen years cultivating direct relationships with restorers and sources across India. We have assembled one of the most comprehensive inventories of antique carved doors and architectural elements available in the United States. Our founding philosophy connects hand-carved natural wood with a profound sense of restored wellbeing. We believe the expertise of artisanal skill and the depth of soul carved into these antique doors is unparalleled. Our craftsmen continue a visual language passed down through generations, featuring lotus blossoms, the tree of life, and peacock motifs.
We recognize that geometric latticework demands a mathematical precision that took years to master. Our collection reflects Spanish, British, and French colonial influences layered over ancient forms across centuries. We provide a multicultural vocabulary that reads as simultaneously rooted and cosmopolitan. We ensure that a Mogul Interior carved door does not merely occupy a wall, but animates it. We are dedicated to serving luxury homeowners who invest in the way a room feels. Our hand-sourced pieces are restored to their original splendor, infusing homes with old-world charm and positive energy.

Era has been wonderful to work with. She took the time to understand our needs, the ambiance and layout of our home, the location where the art piece would be displayed etc. and helped us choose the right piece for our home that met our needs and taste. She also ensured she chose the best available shipping method to get it to use safe and sound! She followed up to ensure we were happy with the art and advised on maintenance tips to make it last a lifetime! Overall a great experience working with her and I would definitely recommend her to friends, family and anyone looking for great indian art.

I purchased this door from Mogul Interior on Houzz and am so happy I did. I was concerned purchasing it online without seeing it in person. I thought it might not be what I expected from the photo, but it is way better than the photo. It so beautiful and is such high quality. I absolutely love it! I am installing it as a barn door for my bathroom. I was so happy I had to call Mogul Interior to let them know how pleased I am. It's like a fine piece if art. And, the gentlemen who delivered were very kind and professional. I highly recommend Mogul Interior.

This is a magical place. The level of quality breathes character. It almost feels as if you're in an ancient museum and want to take everything home with you.

I received a beautiful sideboard from Era at Mogul Interior. It's more beautiful than I could have imagined. It was custom made to my liking (dimensions, style, color). At first, she found doors for me in India and transformed them into a stunning, functional piece of art. She was very responsive and communicative throughout the entire process. I highly recommend! The shipping took a very long time but it was at no fault of hers. It's just the world we live in right now but it was worth the wait. Thank you Era!

I LOVE the mirror I purchased and will likely buy another item that I'm looking at. The sellers were very helpful and informative, with more than just the purchase and delivery. I highly recommend!
