Penland's customer service is absolutely ridiculous and worst I have ever been apart of. I ordered a bedroom set in February. Four months later, delivery guys showed up and my dresser was not on the truck and was told it was damaged. Absolutely no communication from them until the driver just didn't have it on the truck. Additionally, my bed frame was not correct and the drawers were broke as well.
After waiting this long all I have is a nightstand. No communication was received again and now I sit here with no dresser and a broke bed frame for who knows how long. They pretty much hold your money hostage and don't care about what happens to the furniture because they already have your money. When I called to discuss option, attitude from the lady that answer was given to the extreme. No compensation for inconvenience they have caused was even offered. I never even got a apology. Absolutely will never recommend and use them again. They don't even deserve 1 star.

Very disappointed in post-sale service. My mother has ALS, so 3 months ago paid nearly $1,000 for a lift chair. It's not a piece of furniture, it's a medical necessity. It stopped operating with her in it. Had to call fire department to get her out of the recliner and into a wheelchair. Called Penlands several times. First time told no one of authority was there who could help me, but they would call back the next morning. Got no call back.
Several times asked for a replacement or loaner until her's could be repaired. No for an answer. Now she's stuck in a wheelchair until repair parts get here in 7 to 10 days. This is not what I expected from the Penlands.

The wife dragged me to every furniture store in town before we tried penlands. she finally found a table she liked and man the price difference compared to the other places we went was huge. we'll only be shopping here from now on.

AWFUL! I would never order furniture from this place again. 1. No hardware for dressers delivered to me. Hardware on 2 drawers. Delivery guys said I would just need to go to Lowes. seriously?! 2. Four pieces I ordered that were absolutely necessary for my home were not delivered AT THE TIME OF DELIVERY. Sorry? I was standing there confused why I didnt have a bed I needed to sleep in THAT NIGHT. They said the peices wont come in for 3 more months. Excuse me?
No one could call me to tell me this prior to the delivery? If I had known this, I would have ordered something else or went elsewhere. I had to stay in a hotel. THANKS! 3. Called and the women who answered could care less about my concerns and said there were no other options available. I literally had no king bed. Really? Nothing you could do? She didn't care. She sounded annoyed I was calling to voice a complaint of the total mishap that occurred. I drove down to Davis Furniture and had ALL of my issues resolved within an hour. Avoid Penlands. They don't care about their customers.
