Business Details
We are Bare Wood Market, a downtown Sebring, Florida artisan boutique founded by Laura Young. Our origins trace back to Laura's passion for furniture painting discovered during her time working in the Highlands County school system. We built our initial skills through hands-on learning of woodworking traditions passed down from Laura's in-laws. What began as a hobby of refinishing garage sale furniture evolved into a full-time creative enterprise. We have spent years cultivating relationships with talented local Florida artists and Highlands County makers. Our team specializes in curating and creating one-of-a-kind hand-painted furniture, original local art, and handcrafted home goods.
We solve the problem of finding unique, high-quality, locally made treasures for our customers. We adhere to strict standards of craftsmanship and authenticity for every item we offer. We are committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive space for art lovers and community members alike. We prioritize transparent communication with our customers about the origin and creation of every product. We are dedicated to supporting local artisans and giving back to the Sebring community through charitable events and initiatives.
