Brothers Scott Fenton Parker and Keith MacLaren Parker have been business partners for as long as they can remember. They sold garden seeds door-to-door, painted curb numbers and shared paper routes - all before the age of twelve. In 1982 they founded Fenton MacLaren. They were working their way through UC Berkeley, so running a store together was ideal - one brother could go to class while the other managed the store. The original store was on College Avenue in Rockridge and sold only 20's era vintage furniture.

We offer a variety of upholstered pieces, including sofas, sectionals, leather recliners, Morris chairs, rocking chairs, swivel chairs and gliders. Our sofas are available in a wide range of styles and price points, from value priced options to completely customizable sofas from Temple Furniture. We also feature beautiful handcrafted Amish made chairs and sofas, available in a variety of woods, finishes and fabrics. Our inventory is large and constantly changing - the photos shown represent only a small sampling of what we have available.

We offer a large selection of dining room furniture, with particular emphasis on Mission and Shaker styles. This beautifully crafted furniture will add warmth to any gathering and will last for generations. Dining tables are available in a variety of sizes, seating from 2 to 14 people. It's also possible to custom order even larger tables.

Our showroom in Berkeley features several different bedroom furniture lines, with an emphasis on classic Mission and Shaker styles. We have dressers, chests, nightstands and beds - including beautifully efficient storage beds. Our Amish made bedroom furniture is especially popular with customers, as it is fully customizable.
