I ordered a complete home office furniture set from Sea Winds about 6 weeks prior to moving into my new home. I prearranged a January delivery date and had two men who were going to help me load the furniture. Sea Winds "drop ships" all products regardless of weight. They don't care how you get it into their home. They failed to arrange the specific January delivery date and after waiting until 7:00 pm, learned that the receptionist forgot to set it up.

So then we went back and forth on a new delivery date. The date that worked for Sea Winds meant that I had no one to help me, so I told them no. I basically told them to cancel the order. but a couple of days later, I received a call from them indicating they were providing "white glove" delivery, meaning that they would bring it in my home, unpack it, and put it in the room where I was going.

Two days after the delivery, the salesman called me and indicated that Sea Winds wanted to charge me $171.00 for the "white glove" delivery. Obviously, I did not pay for this as I had no idea they were charging me for this and they completely botched the original delivery date. After I moved the pieces around in the office, and began setting up my home office business, I realized how "dinky" this furniture is. It's small.

Everything is downsized. The filing cabinets are made so that when you close the filing cabinet door, it knocks off the pendaflex labels. I've had to purchase special labels and relabel over 100 files. The desk chair in relation to the desk is not ergonomic (as the salesman told me it was) and gives me a back ache just to sit and work. Today, the final piece was delivered (after being on back order for over 10 weeks).

It was put in my foyer and at this point I am unable to even unload it from the box as it weight 97 lbs. I'm in my mid-sixties and I'm afraid of injuring myself by the sheer weight of moving this heavy piece of furniture. All in all, do not order from this company unless you're young and fit and able to lift heavy furniture into your home.

Who drop ships 100 lbs of furniture these days? Where's the customer service. And the one time I thought they were providing good customer service with the "white glove" treatment, they then turned around and asked for more money "after the fact". Who does business this way? I, for one, do not want to deal with the business ever again. It's not worth it. The furniture is not worth what I paid. And they really don't care what you think because customers needs don't seem to matter.
