The people who installed my gas fireplace were wonderful. This is not a negative review on them. This is a negative review on management. After spending thousands of dollars with Yankee Fireplace Grill and Patio, I contacted them after approximately a year with my fireplace. The remote stopped working and I learned from the manual that two sets of batteries needed to be changed from time to time depending on usage.

I successfully changed the batteries but for the life of me I could not get the glass cover replaced. When I called the office, I was told that someone was in my neighborhood. Great! I told them that I needed to go to a work appointment but that I would leave my door unlocked. Happily the cover was replace. A few weeks later I received a bill for $99.50. I really believe that some nice customer service would have gone a long way here in being able to recommend them in the future.

This company in general was very helpful on the phone. The technician was knowledgeable and thorough. He cleaned the glazing on the screen. It is so clean you have to look closely to see there is glass there. I will call them again in two years for maintenance or sooner if needed

Purchased a gas inset for my fireplace. The sales person was incredibly helpful and knowledgable throughout the process. After a couple of years use we had the fireplace inspected and serviced by one of their technicians who was courteous, answered my many questions and went to lengths to leave his work area super clean. Sure you have to wait for service, but well worth it. Wall switch fritzed, replaced, whole fireplace cleaned. Great to have it back- excellent experience.

I purchased a fireplace insert and Yankee Fireplace installed it. They have come to do all of the regular maintenance on the unit. I have always been satisfied with the quality of the service -- they are always neat and clean.

I wish to thank Lauren& her team who help me get a fireplace insert that was appropriate for my home. I visited the store& met with her to pick out an insert. She was so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. My fireplace was old & had an opening with irregular stones so the normal insert would not fit properly. Lauren was able to send me via email several options for me to pick from. My insert was installed & I am so pleased with it. Thank You Lauren and your team.

It was great, only issue was that I had to call the town inspector myself to get the inspection process rolling. Yankee told me they would handle it but after hearing nothing for a few days I called the inspector myself (and the inspector then came that afternoon, so it wasn't a capacity issue or anything, they just hadn't done the organization). Fireplace itself was great though.

Although they were unable to Come out for a long time they were servicing people who did not buy from them. They kept me well-informed about the date and any change in time. They arrived within 30 minutes of the window. He did a thorough job cleaned it and fixed it I didn't need additional parts cleaned up his mess when he left was very courteous and great and explaining what had happened.

I would highly recommend them. Just realize I did not press post on this before. About two months later I had them come out for another issue when it wasn't the crazy time when everyone wasn't just turning in their heat and they were able to come out the following week and solve my issue. I have been very pleased with their service and I am a real estate broker and have to say I've never had this go to service

**POOR COMMUNICATE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE** I placed a rather large order with this company in April, I was told I would receive the product in roughly two weeks. It is now mid September and still no product. I have had to called at least 10 times for updates over the course of the 4 months because they refuse to call me with an update. I've been told anything from it was stuck on ship in the Suez canal, to it will be here on said date.

Well said date has come and gone and well its supposedly back on another container and will arrive in a week and a half. If you want to pay high end prices and be jerked around for months on end then this is the place to go!

I own a Heat 'n' Glow gas insert. I love it and this was a maintenance call. We have owned this since 2009. It is not an inexpensive fireplace insert, and because of our windy area, there are occasional issues with performance. It is always satisfying to receive prompt and excellent service.

Our gas Lennox fireplace stopped working after 18 years. John from Yankee came as scheduled and quickly identified the igniter as the problem and replaced it. Works great now and we were happy with their work and recommend them.

At my request, a tech from Yankee Fireplace came to our home to service our gas fireplace. He arrived on time on the day scheduled and did a very good job of getting the gas fireplace back into working order. He carefully spread a covering over the work area to protect my hardwood floor while he worked. He was courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. The fireplace is working fine. This is the second time Yankee Fireplace has serviced our gas fireplace. We have been very satisfied both times.

We were hoping to replace our gas fireplace with one that was a little more impressive, but the very knowledgeable clerk made us realize that it would entail a lot more demolition and re-construction than we wanted. However, we did have them do maintenance on it and were pleased with their service.

Great service! I needed my gas fireplace serviced and knew there were likely bigger problems I was unaware of. The service appointment identified all the issues and the technician was even able to find warranty coverage I wasn't even aware I had! The full repair was done timely and in line with the repair quote they gave me. Highly recommend Yankee and will definitely return for future service needs.

As bad as their reviews are they do deserve this. I needed a new igniter for my Webber grill. They were the only place to have it in stock, the gentleman helped me find it and was very polite. I found them to be friendly and helpful. I kinda dress like a bum and I'm younger and I was treated fine.

Bought a Lynx grill from Grill doesn't work Customer service is horrible 6 months to get a call back Only to have Adam the service manager tell me they will not service grills in summer I will not recommend buying anything from them.

Terribly disappointed with their service department. I have had numerous issues since installation. Every time that I telephone, I am told that the pilot light will not stay on. After many calls, it was discovered that burner malfunctioned. It was replaced. Less than a year later, the burner malfunctioned again. Replaced for a second time. The technician informed me there was an issue with the battery pack.

Something was draining the batteries. Despite multiple phone calls, this issue was never addressed; nor were my phone calls returned. Yesterday, a plumber arrived. The thermo coupler was damaged; he replaced it. Despite the new installation, the pilot light will not remain on. He indicated that the gas valve was not opening. I called the service department and explained all the issues. Again, he blamed me for all the issues and he even questioned what the plumber did. the plumber agreed to talk to him to explain.

A one-star review is too much. My next communication is with Lynx, the product manufacturer. Five interactions with this vendor were all bad.no, actually one was good the other four were horrible. Here are my favs: 1. You have to leave a message because they almost never answer the phone. Recording says something similar to 'if we don't call you back in 48 hours, call us back'. Really? 2.

The service tech was a no-show in the window scheduled. I left a note for him/her. Called the store eventually and they said he was there. He tried to call you but we gave him the wrong number and we never thought of giving him the right number. 3. Three weeks later, I call back to determine the status of parts on order. I grumbled gently at first stating I was hoping for better service for the thousands I spent on the grill and accessories.

The response, "a lot of people spend a lot of money on things, you just have to deal with the wait". I will never spend another nickel there and I will go out of my way to tell the general contractor we used that they should NEVER send another customer there.

They do have a lot of weber stuff in stock, as well as Big Green Egg accessories. The customer service is non existent, but my main complaint is that they charge more than suggested retail for a lot of stuff. I wanted the Igrill3 system for my new weber grill which I didn't buy from them (they wanted $65 for assembly and $95 for delivery and I got free assembly and del from my local hardware store) and it is $99 retail on Weber's site and everywhere else and they charge $109 for it! Not sure how they stay in business doing that. More than retail?

Terrible! I'm angry at myself for not reading online reviews. Terrible customer service. they simply do not care. Bought a very expensive stove, they didnt installed correctly, took a lot of chasing to get them to help. No follow up or apologies. Terrible.

The first time I went here they sucked but I fig maybe I got someone having a bad day. Second time was worse. The big woman in sales was rude and ignorant. If you have any questions expect to piss her off and get rolling eyes. I needed a liner so I could turn my heat on and they had it. I walked out and decided to freeze than to give this bitch 1 cent.

Extremely overpriced. From start to finish. I was quoted almost 15K for 2 gas units. In breaking down their estimate piece by piece with numerous other well known fireplace company's I saved over 5k. Yes.they were 5K more expensive. The exact models. Every aspect of their service from common parts, to install, to electrical and plumbing work if needed is absurd.

The amount they want for gas and electric work is insane.even my gas and electricians chuckled at the number I showed them. They seem knowledgeable and have all the products needed however when every other fireplace shop can come in much much lower and even offer incentives if purchasing more than 1 fireplace its a no brainer not buy from Yankee. I just know people have been taken advantage and paid much much more than needed for the same service and product.

Expensive and quite rude. I was shopping around for a Hearthstone Heritage wood stove. After getting some prices I called Yankee as they were closest to my house. The price was by far the highest out of the four quotes I had previously received. I politely told the woman that I had found lower prices she said "good for you" and hung up the phone! LOL. I couldn't believe what had happened. Regardless I went up to tax free NH and saved a few hundred dollars.

NOT happy. I was told by another local company to call Yankee, as they serviced the brand of fireplace we own. I called twice over a two week period to request a service visit. Their voicemail states messages will be returned within 48 hours. Nope. Called again today and finally got an operator. She informs me they don't service the brand we have and does not give me any direction about who to call instead. So, I have wasted two weeks of my time waiting on a call that never came and now it is cold out and I have to find someone who isn't two weeks out for service calls.

Really upsetting when you try to use a local business and they don't come through for you or even acknowledge your calls in this case. We had purchased a smoker here when we first moved to the area, and planned to go back to buy accessories and possibly patio furniture there, but not now.

Rude customer service. Was given attitude over the phone when I inquired when my 8:00-8:30 appointment was to begin, since it was after 9:00. First Fireplace install was unsuccessful and a technician had to be called back. The tech who showed up was knowledgeable and friendly. He put the issue to bed quickly.

"So I'm building a grilling island and have so far decided I'm going with natural gas over LP. Looking to cook for many people at once, and i have to have stainless. Good stainless that will last, i want big grilling area and something i will never have my different meats touching each other. And my price limit i have capped at $6,000. What can you show me?" Is what i WOULD have asked if anyone actually took the time to come see if i needed help.

It was the middle of the week and it was early in the afternoon. I WAS THE ONLY CUSTOMER THERE. Need i say any more? I always prefer to support the local guys rather than go to a box store but whats happen to customer service these days? If you guys need an example of what it should be take a ride to one way lumber on highland ave in salem and they will show you how to treat a customer. Shouldn't matter if your spending $10 or $10,000. Good luck in business yankee. You've lost mine.

OVER PRICED. They are rude and condescending. Not helpful and are impatient. I went back three times and the servise was so bad all three times I drove to NH to purchase my stove. This location charges fees that others do not. Up side, they carry good quality products.

This is the most generous 4 stars ever delivered to a store. Not because anyone wanted to sell me something. Not because it took 15 minutes to acknowledge me; not because it was lunch time and I was in a bit of a rush; not because of price.no it was because I got to play around with all the cool barbecue gadgets. This place has loads of neat out door grills.the freaking Green Egg; big ass Webers and more; and loads of accessories.

Back to simply the only reason they didn't wait on me finally after 30 minutes.it must be.no it couldn't.they can't be commissioned? I think the sales person just about died when he listened to how much I wanted to spend; how fast and no questions. Just get the freaking gift. Well, I'll be back; I'll bring a book 'cause sometimes retailers like this just don't get it or don't know that there staff is really on another planet.

After driving all around looking for new gas burners for our Weber grill, I was about to give up and order them online. Then I remembered seeing this place whenever we went to Richardson's Ice Cream, so I drove over there. The place was pretty nice inside, and the people were friendly. They had the parts I needed at MSRP, and there was a pretty big selection of other replacement parts for Weber and other brand grills; a lot bigger than Home Depot or Ace Hardware did.

I could've gotten the parts a little cheaper online, but this place is only 15 minutes away. They also had outdoor patio stuff, a bunch of grills, and fireplaces, as the name suggests.
