They resolved at that time to adopt woodworking as an acceptable alternative to farming to create jobs and keep their people employed. They also took the stance that they would not boast of their craft through advertising, but instead let the quality of their work speak for itself and let word of mouth be their marketing tool.This adoption of top quality has helped to make the Arthur Amish community into the largest hand crafted oak furniture producing area in the country.

We were searching for dining chairs to go with our favorite antique table. With the help of the very pleasant staff we were able to match our table leaf's color and choose the wood we wanted in a beautiful chair. Many chair styles to choose from. Many wood and finish options available. Many fabric choices if you want a cushioned seat. Good prices for nice quality furniture. We are so happy with these chairs and they look great with our table! A fine business to deal with. I was looking for an Amish produced wood gun display cabinet for my remote home in the Colorado Rockies and contacted The Wood Loft. As I was traveling, I decided to drive there and commission it in person. Dealt with Barry, looked at samples and provided measurements. An excellent experience and easy to communicate with during the process and follow-ups. However, when it arrived, the dimensions of the sliding glass was incorrect enough that they needed to be replaced.
This is where The Wood Loft shined under George Fritz, the owner. He made it right, no issues, no complaints just a can-do attitude and a zeal to make me happy. He did it in spades. The cabinet wasn't inexpensive but worth it. It constantly displays a rotating collection of my collection of European and US military handguns dating from 1907 to 1960. This is all other businesses should strive to emulate George Fritz.
