I really hate to give a bad review to anyone but I wished I had been warned. I had work done here recently and it was an absolutely horrible experience. The work took months. When I finally called to politely ask when it would be completed, I was rudely told that he would get to it. This happened three times. My credit card was charged the entire amount (which was actually twice the original estimate) shortly after I dropped the pieces off and I got them them nearly 3 months later.

I actually wondered if I would ever get them back. When I did get them, the work not complete and I was (rudely) told how to finish it myself as I was in such a big hurry to get them. It took me hours to finish what should have been completed. I would never do business with this company again. It was a nightmare. I don't doubt that this company has done some fine work in the past but it might be time to call it a day.

Our repairs were a while ago, but this has always bugged me. We had a pipe break in our house and our antique furniture needed restoration. Cliff and his team were great, but then the pipe broke again the second winter in a row and damaged the same furniture. Cliff took everything back for repair again, but when it was returned (and my insurance company paid him), I noticed that there was dried plaster on all of the pieces.

The plaster came from the damaged ceiling when the pipe broke a second time. This means that my insurance company was charged, but Restoration Society did nothing - not even wiped off the plaster- and charged me for it. Very unethical. I complained to State Farm at the time, but they couldn't care less, but as I mentioned, it's bothered me all this time. Cliff never gave me the touch up paint that I asked for either.

We purchased an oak dining table and chairs this month. We love it! The quality of the table is much higher than what you find at other places.good solid wood. We were able to customize the color and other features which set Cliff apart from other high end furniture chains we had visited.

It's not your conventional customer service, but both fellows are nice (even if gruff and to the point) and they are very open and honest. Don't be off put by phone etiquette. Their strength is their craft. They explain the reasoning behind why they need to repair it in a certain way to prevent further issues or keep the integrity of the piece. The work is spectacular.

I have taken in a 17th century chair for repair and you couldn't even tell it had ever been broken. If you have expensive antiques that you need restored, this is the place to go in Cincinnati.

Dropped off the pedestal bases the the dining room table. One of the legs cracked off. Cliff told me both bases will need a repaired so the same thing does not happened to the other base. Great to know he was looking out for me. They looked great after the repair. Next the top will go in to be refinished. Great resource for the area

So the customer service is a bit unconventional. No, they will not kiss up to you when they call, but they do take care of their customers. Cliff is the owner. He's rough around edges, but once you meet him you realize he's a heck of a nice guy. But the work they do. WOW. We went through Cliff to get a custom Amish kitchen table made. It was built to our specifications and it's beautiful. It's heavy duty stuff! It is not cheap, but you can tell it will last five lifetimes.
