Our sofas and chairs feature cushions and spring construction of a quality that will ensure years of comfortable seating. Most of our upholstery is constructed of hardwood frames and eight-way hand tied coil springs. Each piece is available in hundreds of custom fabrics. Our approach at Scherer Furniture is quite different.
Within our four floors of furniture there is a great variety of bedroom furniture available. If you are looking for a master bedroom, children's furniture, or perhaps a guest bedroom, we show quality products made of solid wood. Many different species of wood are available such as cherry, maple, oak, and more. All of our bedroom furniture is free of particle board, we feel solid wood construction is still paramount.
Living rooms and family rooms reflect your personal taste and style perhaps more than any other rooms in your house. Creating an environment where you spend so much of your leisure time can be a complicated undertaking. We have a staff with a lot of experience helping people create rooms to relax in or rooms to entertain in.
For many families, it is largely overlooked by most furniture stores. At Scherer's, we display on our floor many different dining sets covering a wide variety of styles and prices. Scherer Furniture has furnished the majority of our home, the family and all the employees are great people who know the business far better than the person who's been working at your local chain store for three months. The pieces are quality, the service is top notch, and the assistance and advice before and after the sale won me over from two high-end chain stores in the Northtowns who enjoy selling overpriced pressboard furniture.
Visit once, buy some pieces. You'll be back. It's not about getting some snacks or a cocktail while shopping, that event is transient. It's about the furniture you'll be using for a long time after you leave the showroom. To the individual looking for prices on a piece online? Much of their furniture is custom, so prices change based on selected options. There is not a specific price until you choose the leg, fabric, length, depth, arm, and stuffing in, say, a couch.

My hubs and I have purchased pieces of furniture from here before, and I wanted a few new things to replace old. The customer service was non existent. When we told them about a leather chair we were interested in, instead of getting an escort to the floor, they just told us how to get there; climbing flights of very dusty stairs to get there and find our way through very crowded furniture.
The three men working there were not motivated to help us, they just sat there and pointed out finishes hanging on the rack. The older gentleman seemed as though we were interfering with his Saturday morning sports page, and interrupted his crossword puzzle. So a few days later my hubs emailed them about the leather chair. We are still waiting for a response, however we did buy a beautiful leather chair. We found it at another furniture store that gave us the customer service we deserved.

Great service, delivery and pricing. They have a fine selection of made in USA real furniture. Jim helped us find exactly what we were looking for and were able to customize it to our exact taste. Don't be fooled by the junk sold by the big box stores, go to Scherer and get furniture that'll last for decades to come!

What a great find. so much better than the chains. We are new at furniture shopping and went to a lot of different places. Most are national chains. Scherer's looks terrible from the outside, but inside they have a great expansive selection of quality furniture. We ended up getting everything we needed from them and were quite pleased with the quality and the pricing.

I just purchased two recliners from Scherer's Furniture. It was the most pleasant experience. Kevin was a tremendous help. He was knowledgeable and extremely informative. The new recliners are perfect, absolutely perfect! Their service and quality, at Scherer's Furniture, is outstanding. I highly recommend this establishment.

My stepdad has been a long time supporter of Scherer's Furniture. We were hesitant to check it out because we have strict standards for furniture from an environmental and sustainability perspective. This place is just amazing, not only is it filled with great furniture & friendly staff, it's also in a building built in 1860 something or other. What a cool place to check out! This is the sort of place you want to get your furniture from.forget about those big box stores, buy your furniture from a local store & get a unique piece that will last a lifetime.oh & it's three stories high, which makes it even cooler!
