Gaby welcomed us into her family store and gave us a tour and education on the exotic woods they hand craft tables from. Mario and his team made the most beautiful table for our home. We highly recommend stopping here first. The craftsmanship is unbelievable! You won't find that at a chain store.

Our interior designer neighbor recommended this place. I fell in love with many pieces when we first stepped in, and the family operated business is a nice vibe with gorgeous furniture. I have bought 3 unique large pieces since July.

Find me a better original pure wood dining table in Southern California - try it.it'll be hard to find. Gaby at SD Rustic was extremely helpful and communicative in helping us find the perfect live edge dining room table, and we had looked all over LA. After driving the 2 hrs to her shop, she was happy to show us around, talk about our design ideas and fit us into the table we wanted.

We looked at Acacia and Monkey Pod slabs. You just look and peruse pick you slab of wood, pick the support legs and talk about what type of finish you want. We were very fortunate to find this gorgeous piece of thick monkey pod wood with a beautiful pure natural live edge. Yes! Gaby and her team worked along with us to inform us how the process would then proceed.

Their craftsmanship was immaculate! They smoothed the wood to perfection, and finished it so the table would be impervious to water stains and super easy to upkeep! In the end the whole finishing process took about a week.and even though we trekked 4 hours from Los Angeles on the worst day (day before Thanksgiving) to travel we were floored at how good it turned out! Omg we loved it!

Her and her team were so gracious and helped us load it into our vehicle (just barely) and thanked us for the business. We were so happy to have found them and the drive and work to bring it into our home was well worth it! Thank you Gaby and team for making this an investment into our home! :-)

I have never seen a store that has such an extensive selection of live edge furniture! They have so much to choose from and their inventory is constantly changing. Gaby is absolutely knowledgeable about each piece of furniture or artwork and is a joy to talk to about the process of completing each piece of art. Highly recommend checking out this unique and one of kind store/warehouse!

Excellent service. We came here looking for a new dining room table. Furniture shopping is not easy with kids and we have two young sons. We came here after deciding not to purchase at another store because the salesperson was rude to us and our children. When we walked into San Diego Rustic Furniture, we were greeted with a smile and our children were welcomed and offered lollipops. We were able to find a better quality table at a much better price than the one we left behind at the first shop and without any guilt trips about bringing our kids with us.

I had them make me a 6' live edge slab desk of Suar Wood. It came out gorgeous. It sits perfectly with zero wobble. They obviously love what they do and I absolutely couldn't be happier. Very well constructed and finished. They even finished a few days earlier than they promised which was icing on the cake. Most highly recommended.

Bought a 5 foot table from them. Absolutely love it. Amazing piece. Nice that you get to pick your piece of wood and the staining. Worth the cost.

This store is a gem! You won't find any better place to buy unique imported furniture or live edge tables! There are so many beautiful pieces here. The prices are reasonable. The owner is very friendly, he explained all the differences between different types of wood. I'm in love with my dining table!

This place is the best kept secret in San Diego! The furniture is beautiful, unique, and priced well below what it's worth. We've gotten many pieces from here and guests always comment on them. The owner is also so sweet and helpful.

My wife had been bugging me to buy a live edge table for our dining room for several years now so u decided to finally surprise her for her birthday last month. I knew absolutely nothing about live edge tables or rustic furniture in general. I am extremely thankful that a friend recommended San Diego Rustic Furniture Warehouse to me. Their team was so helpful in explaining the different types of live edge tables and why some are more expensive than others.

They even took time out of their day to text me photos of different tables they had at the warehouse. The table I ended up picking was a huge hit and my wife is obsessed with it. She keeps talking about how excited she is to have family over for Thanksgiving dinner so she can show off the table.

San Diego rustic furniture has a wide selection cabinets from Indonesia China and India. Some new items some antiques. They also make incredible live tables these tables are all original no one is alike. They also carry accessories light containers antique bottles Talavera pottery. It is worth your time to peruse through their warehouse.

They have some really unique pieces here, mostly from India and things you will not see elsewhere. It's a little difficult to find in an office complex, they moved from Trade St recently. I am happy with my purchase but disappointed that they asked me to pay cash or check rather than credit card because of the fees the credit card company charges. I thought this was tacky to treat a customer this way (my purchase was about $1000)

In regards to unique furniture, this is definitely the place to go. In regards to price and service, go elsewhere. The last time I went in, I found the prices way higher than usual. More upsetting however, is when I went to find someone so I could pay for my items, the older gentleman, upon me asking him if I could check out, told me, "oh, you want me to check you out? Don't worry, I've been checking you out the whole time you've been here." If I hadn't been needing the items in my hands, I would have put them down and walked out right then. Instead however, I'll take future business elsewhere.

We just bought a live edge table and bench for our breakfast nook. It is a beautiful set with a solid build. I am sure it will outlast us. The thing really nice about live edge furniture is each piece is unique and has its own character. At SD Rustic, you can select which wood slab that will be your table and that does make a difference. I will never buy another piece of cookie cutter furniture from the common furniture store again. The quality and character of the common furniture store pieces are just no match for what you can find at SD Rustic.

After having a nightmare experience At GREATHOUSE furniture, we came here for some finishing pieces. What a wonderful experience and high quality furniture!

I live out of state, and two years ago I found this store while perusing the internet. I wanted to go! It took two years to do it, however, and today I finally made the journey. I must say - this is not a place that stands out in a retail location, you have to look for it. The outside has no hints about what's inside other than a couple of huge Asian pieces.

After we found the place and parked I couldn't wait to go in, and I was not disappointed! The outer room has some very cool stuff on the walls and invites you in quickly. After Frank greets you and you enter the huge warehouse, oh boy the fun begins! There are shelves and shelves filled with vivid pottery pieces, unusual rustic wood carvings and amazing furniture pieces in rows.

My friend and I were kind of staggered by the selection and variety, and I picked out some small items to take home (I flew here, so next time I'll drive!) I bought lovely little things as gifts and something neat for myself, and I can't wait to get home and play with my purchases! If you are a cookie- cutter type person who likes mass produced common bric-a-brac, this is not the store for you.

If you like doing business with a friendly and helpful guy and having thousands of choices, this is a must go! Like I said, next time I drive down! More room in my van! Thank you, Frank. That was fun!

I truly can not say enough good things about these guys! From the furniture to Adam, to Josh, to Frank the service was AMAZING and the delivery couldn't be any better! Josh redid a chair that's been in my family for 32 years to match my new furniture. He did an AMAZING job! If you are looking for custom/rustic/unique furniture this is the place for you! We can't say enough good things about SDR and Frank, Marilyn and the other employees there. We've been regular customers for a year now and have had numerous positive experiences. They are all super friendly and willing to work with you on custom orders, fair prices and transparency. The quality of their furniture is unsurpassed and you get the story behind it all.

Overall incredibly authentic experience. The 3 recent negative reviews were clearly all from the same customer. Based on our personal experience as well as all the other positive reviews, those people were likely not disclosing the whole story. Visit the store and you'll see for yourself - these guys are exceptional.

SDR imports has been a great experience for me. The owner, Frank, and his floor salesperson, Marilyn, are very down to earth. The guys who work behind the scenes are as well- very open, helpful, flexible. I can't stand things that are poorly made, furniture is no exception. I want to buy it once. I needed a powder room vanity, that would work in a tiny space, in a 93 year-old Craftsman bungalow.

I found exactly what I needed, took it home, stained it, voila! Later, I decided to have a vanity top fabricated by them, to complete the look. I was still trying to find the right sink. SDR has a LOT of Talavera, it is competitively priced. They didn't have a sink in stock, but it set me on a path to complete the vanity with Talavera. An added bonus about SDR is that much of what they sell is salvaged/repurposed wood, purchased in India.

It is WOOD, not MDR or particle board. Repurposing is a big component of how I live my life. Nothing goes to the landfill that might fit another purpose. (No, I am NOT a hoarder). If I had a bigger home, I'd certainly select a lot of my furniture from SDR. The rustic (usually I cringe at "themed" stores) wood works well with the Mission/Craftsman built-ins and decor of my home. Thanks!

I want everything in this store. Yes, may cost a little more but it's heavy solid imported wood items that are beautifully carved. Owner was super friendly to me and my son even when we can in after closing he didn't seem to mind at all. Be sure to have plenty of time when you go, it's HUGE and there is so much to look at. Prices are GREAT.

Found this place on craigslist looking for a buddha statue for my garden. When i got there i was blown away by all the cool antique or antique looking stuff they have. Some of the stuff are actual antiques, while others are new/antiques, meaning they take old antique reclaimed wood and repurpose them as something else. There are some really awesome old gateways, chests, cabinets. tables and other decorative items.

I think some stuff is reasonably priced, while others are on par with high end shops. But if i had to choose between something from pottery barn that everyone could get versus something unique, hand crafted and rustic for the same price, I'd choose this place every time! Rustic is the name of the game here, everything has so much character. I ended up getting a medium size buddha statue for $60. Thats much cheaper than you'd find anywhere else in SD.

Of course its just a poured concrete mold that is painted to look aged and also "Hencho en Mexico" but for a garden and for a fraction of the cost of anywhere else, its a great deal. I wish i had more room in my house (and money) to get some of the awesome tables and furniture here. If you are looking for something unique or possibly a conversation piece for your home, it's definitely worth checking SDR. Note there is also an outdoor showroom with pottery and statues.
