The best customer service I have ever experienced! Purchased an Artesian tub over a year ago, it seemed to be plagued with issues so Brad determined to replace it! Replacement was an upgrade! The service and delivery team are also awesome. No need to look anywhere else if you are thinking of purchasing a hot tub.

I have asked the Cleveland Tn. location to call me 3 times. I talked to the Assistant Mgr. the last time to have someone email me colors of replacement spa covers. NOTHING so far, no one has emailed me anything. Im buying cover online for about the same money and getting it faster. The covers are about $450.guess they only call you back if you buy more expensive items? If there were a Zero star rating I would give them that.

I recently bought a new pump, filter and liner to be installed. The problem is Bill who says he has 30 yrs. of experience in installing pool liners doesn't know what he is talking about. I do have a deck half way around my pool and asked him repeatedly if I need to remove the deck boards and he says no, if they need to come out he will remove them Well he broke off all the top caps by the deck, ,m ind you there were some that were broken but still useable.

The ones he broke off are not useable and also ones that should have been screwed back in were just placed on top of the pool rails. He said they couldn't screw them back in because they would break. Funny thing is I was able to screw them in. I can't even replace them because they don't make them anymore. What a shame the way they do business, left all their mess for me to clean up, but took all the screws.

Never will do business with them again. One thing I will say is Luke and Alec did a great job putting the pump and filter in. Too bad Bill doesn't take some tips from them on how to do a good job.

We purchased a swim spa from Brad @ Great Backyard right when the Covid pandemic started. Our swim spa was delayed by several months, but it was totally worth the wait. We received impeccable service - with the purchase, delivery/installation, set-up/instructions, and re-ordering supplies. There have been delays beyond their control, but they have been extremely professional when handling all situations. We totally enjoy the spa & our new friends @ the Great Backyard in Asheville, NC.

Very pleased with Brad in the sales process. Ordering a hot tub around Covid time which made things a bit tricky due to manufacturing, but then again so were window screens, so there's that. I was able to communicate with Brad throughout the wait period and he was never testy. The delivery by their team was also outstanding. They showed up 15 minutes early (who does that anymore?) and I must say they are beasts.

They slid my hot tub up a steep ramp yet I was never nervous. Very professional and also allowed my wife to video all of the instructions. I'd buy here every time, no questions asked!

We purchased a hot tub in April, 2021. It was suppose to arrive in 10-12 weeks. Shortly after the 12 week date, we got notice that it had arrived, but it was the wrong color. After numerous attempts to resolve the matter with The Great Backyard, we we were told they would do nothing. We would take it or leave it. We purchased from another dealer. This was the worst customer service I have experienced in a very long time. I am writing this review to save others from this experience. I will never shop there again.

I purchased a Four Wind Grand Bahama Spa hot tub for $8,538.93 from this company in April of 2021 and all the head rests which were made out of rubber were literally falling off. See pictures. Lori Meadows and her team told me this was my fault. I just want everyone to know what type of business this is and how rude they are. After spending so much money it is a real shame to not only receive such an inferior product but to also be treated this way. Lori and her team told me it was my fault. They are unprofessional and have no integrity. WARNING DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. More to come. John

The crew that measured, ordered and installed our pool liner did a great job! Everyone else told us they couldn't do anything until next year but these guys came out and measured, ordered and installed our rare type of pool liner in record time. They kept us informed along the way, were always on time and worked during the hottest days. We are now able to enjoy the summer in our pool.

I went to the Cleveland Tn location. Everyone there is truly amazing. From the original purchase to the installers they always made me feel welcome and super friendly to deal with. My wife and I placed an order for a hot tub in August of 2020. We were told there would be a wait and our hot tub would begin production in February, 2021, 6 months later. I realize that Covid19 has slowed production throughout the nation, but here we are 9 months later and still nothing. The staff has not reached out to us since we went into the store.

In February we called and they said 4-6 weeks. 4-6 weeks went by and crickets.so we called again and we were told 4-6 weeks. So, here we are, 9 months after walking into the store and nobody has called, no updates, nothing from this business. My wife called again today and after being given the run around on the phone, she was passed off to someone named Dillon. Dillon told her 4-6 weeks again, and we were free to cancel it if we'd like.

We are now looking at a wait time of 10 1/2 months. I feel that the customer service at this business is in dire need of improvement. If they cannot provide us with the hot tub we ordered 9 months ago at the agreed upon price, we should be given another option, not strung along for what is now getting closer and closer to a full year. Pitiful customer service.

I bought my Swim spa from The Great backyard place in Arden, NC. Reviews and prices were very good compared to the local competitors So I went to check it out Right from the start they were a pleasure to work with. There was absolutely no pressure and they were professional, informative and helpful at every step. Our sales person ginger was terrific and the manager Matt went above and beyond.

I had a hiccup with the company doing my grading so delivery had to be delayed a few months. Matt ( manager) assured us that was not an issue and they held onto it until I could sort out the excavation. It was finally delivered in perfect condition. The delivery team took the time to educate us on all aspects. I strongly recommend The Great Backyard Place! They're fabulous!

When we first arrived to purchase our pool a few months ago, Linda was super nice and helpful. We decided to go through with purchasing an above ground pool, and having them install it. We were going to go home and talk about it but they said there was only one left in Knoxville warehouse- so of course we purchased it- we now no they were probably lying to us.

They told us we were number 14 in line for installation and the pool would be installed in plenty of time- well before swimming weather. Fast forward to March, we hadn't heard a peep so my husband called. They said we were number 19 and they were very rude and the manager refused to talk to us. Today we received a call asking if we would install the pool ourselves?

We said no! They said it will likely be 8 weeks- putting us into the middle of June- and again the manager refused to speak to us. Middle of June is well into swimming weather. They will tell you anything to tickle your ears in the store to get a sale- but afterwards they are rude and do not value you as a customer. I would never recommend you purchase from them if you don't want to be drug around.

They are supposed to train us to open and close our pool since we bought the work free package - but I'll believe it when I see it. UPDATE: we have since cancelled our purchase with this horrific company because things just kept getting worst! We called someone else who was TRUSTWORTHY and in a weeks time the pool has been purchased, delivered and even being installed by installer this week! Amazing how a trustworthy honest company can come through with the work they promised and you pay for!

You can buy a pool anywhere, what matters most to me is service after the sale! I want to thank John in service. and Rob as technician for getting out to my house and fixing the little issues I've had. that makes the difference! 5 stars guys.

For my birthday my husband purchased me a hot tub, John and Bill were awesome about getting it to me on my birthday! We did have a minor issues, but John was awesome to deal with and had the problem fixed within 2 days! I'm very impressed and I will go back there!

We bought our hottub from The Great Backyard Place and love it. The hot tub we wanted wasn't in stock so we had to order it, it took around a month to be built and shipped but we couldn't have been happier. Installers went above and beyond to get it to the designated place. They removed a deck banister and had to heave it onto the deck. Not a scratch was left on the hot tub and they reattached the deck perfectly.

We have had our hottub for over a year now. We had to have the installer come out only once to fix a simple lighting problem. he came the same day we called and fixed the issue in maybe ten minutes. Maintaining the water is simple, we have an inline system. The employees are so helpful when we go to buy cartridges and chemicals. Always friendly and helpful. We are looking to buy a pool this winter and will absolutely be buying it from The Great Backyard Place!

When we started to put our Christmas tree up this year, there were numerous bulbs and strands of lights out in the center section of the tree. My wife called them on a Saturday and we were told that we had to bring the tree in on a weekday only. We took the tree to the store on November 2, 2020 and they could not give us an estimated date when it would be repaired.

We called a couple of times, but we got no answers. Exactly two week later, I received a call from John informing me of the problem with the tree and the cost to repair. We do not live in Knoxville but have supported this business and spent a lot of money through the years. Yesterday, we drove to this business and picked up our tree, only to get home and see that nothing had been repaired on the tree.

My wife called and spoke to John and needless to say, she was upset. Today, we were sitting in their parking lot before they opened and approximately ten minutes later, we were told that the tree was repaired. After getting the tree home, we found numerous lights out which had to be replaced. Today, this business lost a long time customer and I would warn anyone that is thinking about doing business with this company to stay away, their customer service is non-existent. I would give them a zero rating on here if that was an option.

Just moved with new pool during pandemic and went here for all supplies (1st and last). Of course we bought wrong size hose but couldn't take back in time of theIr silly 14 day policy. So, a $25 hose they wouldn't exchange will cost them a lot more money if future earnings after we spent $300 dollars there. Not to mention the manager rude to my wife. We will find another local place to spend our money.

Back this year since we moved to a new house of course the wife had to have a new Christmas Tree as our old one would not fit. They have one of the biggest selections of high end good quality trees here. So many types and sizes to choose from. They even have the option to install and fluff for you. After a few visits we picked our tree and took it home. Positive it will make the new house for Christmas. Regardless, of other comments on here the staff I dealt with are great and love the place.

If there was an option for zero stars this place would definitely be given that rating. My wife and me went to them on a Saturday inquiring about a quote on an in-ground pool. We were told we would have to leave our number and they would call back. The next Saturday they had not called us, so we called and asked and they had us come to the store. We told them up front we would be a CASH paying customer.

We were told we would have to pay a $500 deposit to receive a quote, which we did, and were told they would call us Monday or Tuesday. By Wednesday we had to call them, and were given a run-around and that it would be early the next week before they could schedule the quote. We had not heard from them by the Wednesday of the next week. When I called and asked them when we would receive our quote, I was told they would just refund our money.

How do these people stay in business treating customers like this? Absolutely the WORST customer service I have ever seen. Stay away from this place unless you want to be treated like a second class citizen. Quality pools will now be building our pool.

This place deserves negative stars. Please save yourself time, money and frustration by looking elsewhere for your pool needs. For two years we have been repairing the mess these people made. They sent a bunch of weed smokers in a beater car. not a truck. a little economy car that was beat to pieces to put up our pool. They borrowed our tools and left a big mess.

Those guys should have been out on the roadside in stripes picking up trash. Our new pool company told us today that the leaks we've been trying to get this bunch to fix were caused by the installers AKA clowns out of a clown car forgetting to remove the shrink wrap from the parts! Dwayne and Ann in Maryville suck.

After using them for 15 years to open and close my pool, they have decided to no longer serve their faithful customers if they live outside of Knox County. Not sure which brainiac came up with this decision but they could have stopped accepting new customers from outside the county and continue to serve those of us that have been their go to customers for years.

Bought an Antigua Elite with lounger and two Berlin swivel rockers. The staff made it an easy sell. Jared the hot tub installer was professional and easy to work with. They had to install my tub in not the easiest of inclines at my property. Once the tub was set up the balancing of the water quality was made simple get a sample and take it in to the two ladies at the front desk they immediately told me what to add and make my water quality. I had a couple of questions about my tub after install and Matt explained everything. I would strongly recommend the steel safety straps for the tub if you have little kids.

So frustrating to deal with. The furniture seems high quality, when it does finally arrive, but the Great Backyard Place lacks anything resembling customer service. Our initial order was well over $5k worth of patio furniture and it took 4-6 weeks to arrive. When it did, our tables were the wrong color and our pillows were the wrong shape and size.

A simple mistake, but you'd think they would have caught the errors before delivering the furniture. Apparently they don't have that level of quality assurance. When you call the store they're always "with another customer", even the managers. They never call you back, ever. We finally got things reordered and about a month later got what we paid for.

We were frustrated multiple times, but moved on. Fast forward about a year and we decided to order the coffee table that matched our set. We ordered it and were told 4-6 weeks. so when 8 weeks came and went we called the store to get an update. The same multi-day phone game happened again. They don't return calls and are always with a customer. So, we resorted to driving up to the store and as you'd guess, they're miraculously available.

The manager said he'd look into it "first thing Monday" but that too came and went and we had no call. We called and left several messages and finally got thru to Samantha, the sales person and she said they'd put a rush order in and they'd call us back the next week with an update. After a few weeks went by we got frustrated again and after finally tracking them down on the phone they said the manufacturer was scheduled to paint the furniture later that week and it "may" be shipped within a week or two.

We immediately cancelled the order. We have no more patience for "maybe's" or doing business with The Great Backyard Place. Beware. Way too frustrating, no quality control, no respect for customers seeking call-backs, and no follow through. Dealing with this company makes me want to pull my hair out.

This outfit is awful! Please learn from our mistake. We paid cash for pool and extended warranty and used their recommended people to install it. The install people came up in two beater cars with no equipment. They borrowed our tools and left a mess in our yard. We had a tug of war all summer long with disputing the charge and with holding payment until they came out in the FALL and leveled the pool which was three inches higher on one side than the other!

Now when we tried to open this year the thing is leaking. Duane at the Maryville store is not concerned and Ann, is the rudest individual ever to depend on customers for a pay check. John and the rest of the bunch in Knoxville are not concerned with service after the sale. You'll rue the day you do business here. Please don't depend on reviews from their site, the remove the negative.

I used to buy all my pool chemicals there. That changed when I accidentally bought the wrong PH product. I needed PH plus not negative. All of their pool chemicals are in " the pool place" containers. When I realized my mistake, I went back to exchange it without my receipt. The manger would not do an even exchange for me! The containers are labeled " the pool place". So obviously they were purchased as his store! Never went back!
