This wonderful local furniture store has long been a favorite place to purchase furniture. They have nice options with lots of product that can be customized. The store is a bit dark and items are a bit close. However, the prices are wonderful and sales staff are very helpful. The delivery crew are fantastic! They are respectful of your property and take good care of the items in transport.

The team places all items in location you choose. No worrying about how you will get it to your home. Reasonable delivery fees. The interior could stand to be refreshed and lighting could really be improved, but the prices can't be beat. Love this local treasure.

Mike's is the place to purchase your household furniture for sure! I've been to more than over a dozen places. You ask why so many? I have mobility issues and most places don't have much I can get in and out of. But the reason I walked away from all these businesses was because of their sales people. Most were rude and insaulting toward my disability and even laughed at me more than once. Walked into Mike's furniture this evening and I have to say it was very refreshing!

Everyone polite, not because they had to be, but because they are just polite people period. I felt comfortable and to be honest it felt like family if that makes any sense. You could tell something funny or just converse and no one took offense including me. I had no problem buying two rooms of furniture from them whatsoever this evening! Left feeling relieved the search for my furniture was over.

I will definitely brag, brag, and do more bragging about Mike's furniture! Well made furniture is what I was searching for but common courtesy goes a long way with me and Mike's has both!

I had been there like a couple of year's ago with my wife and we was just looking around so today we walk in look around end up leaving with a really good deal spending a stack but got a discount to!

We like Mike's Furniture, a huge selection, and the person who helped us named Tony was very nice and helpful. Will definitely be back.

Mike's furniture is a wonderful furniture shopping experience. Located at 830 East Cass Street in Joliet. I got great customer service oriented store sales person service. I loved there 55 percent off sale going on right now. Big furniture selection to choose from.

We ordered a couch in November 2020, due to covid we were told it would be 8-12 weeks. No problem. When our couch was delivered the last week of January 2021 it was damaged in 2 spots. Luckily it was not noticeable from the position it was in. So, we were told that they will order another one and deliver when it came in, should be another 8 weeks. 16 WEEKS LATER we still have not received a call.

I call the office, on hold for 11 minutes (which is not uncommon there) and then someone gets on the phone and says, "oh we just got a couple in a few days ago, we will deliver this week." I honestly think they were NEVER gonna call, and they had to figure something out at last minute. Not the greatest communication there. Wouldn't buy from them again.

My Husband told me about this place out of the blue, And My first impression walking in the Door was WOW! I shop at Ashley a lot and Mike's had their furniture plus more! I'm in love with this place and the associate her very kind and hard working. I was able to get my Amazing TV stand that Ashley couldn't get me and time for Christmas and more. I Wish I can rate it even higher than five stars! Oh before I forget the finance part is very easy! I will never need to shop anywhere else!

We were shopping for a kitchen table and Mike's Furniture was the first place we stopped. We found a great deal on a great table. Antonio was very friendly and gave us all of the information we needed about availability, delivery and the extended warranty. We went to four other furniture stores afterwards just to see what else was out there. We ended up purchasing the table from Mike's.

The warranty price and delivery were much lower than their competitors. We were able to complete our purchase over the phone. We are very happy with our purchase. We found some other pieces that we liked as well for our home and will likely be back soon!

Had the most wonderful shopping experience. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Told mike ( one of the 5 that work there! ) what I wanted and showed me exactly that. Did not try to sell me something else. Highly recommend

I will never go back to Mike's. Ordered sofa and loveseat and waited the 6-8 weeks. I called after 9 weeks and was told it might be another 4 weeks. 1 week goes by and they call and say my furniture is there and will deliver next week. They deliver but only a loveseat. I was told I only ordered a loveseat. My receipt clearly shows sofa and loveseat.

Then they tell me the salesperson wrote the order wrong, the price was clearly wrong and can not get the sofa for probably months. My wife tells them to refund the money. They say ok but it's been 4 days waiting for refund. I've bought from here a lot but this leaves a really bad taste.

Our new couch is amazing! It's exactly what we wanted and we got it for a great price. The gentleman who delivered the couch were professional and efficient.

If I could give 10 stars I would. After getting screwed over by Ashley Homestore, my girlfriend and I decided to go back to Mike's and I was kicking myself after not ordering from them the first time around. Mike met us in the store and was personable, informative and truly seemed to care about our experience. He ended up offering us a floor model knowing that we were in desperate need of a couch.

We picked it up today and it was wrapped very well so we wouldn't damage it and once we had it we were so impressed by the quality! I will recommend all my family and friends to come here! Great business!

Ordered living room furniture took way longer than was told to have it delivered. When it finally arrived the chairs were wrong. Had to wait for correct chairs to be made and delivered. Then a few weeks later our couch that is hardly used started making noises whenever someone sat on it. I've called several times but no one has ever called me back.

Just took the bed frame my Mom bought from Mike's. Just adjusting it for a new box spring and mattress. The frame had no middle support and is made of the cheapest particle board I've ever seen. Absolute garbage for that kind of money.

When the sales lady found out we only wanted a dresser she pointed us to a computer and pretty much said find it yourself and she went into her office. Nice showroom, good deals, but I won't be back. Ashley is twice the price with 10x the service.

Well Luann D. I tried this business now I'm going to knock it. I went to Mike's with the intentions of buying 2 mattress sets. A sofa and love seat that was on sale for about 2500.00. Also a coffee table that would have come to about 5000.00 in total purchases. The service which was during thier big anniversary sale was terrible. The very young sales girl had no clue what to do.

From filling out the paper work to what to charge for delivery. She literally spent a half hr running around the store looking for the owner. All the while he was accross the street tending to his private business. After he finally did make a very unkempt apperance. He was rude and impatient. Needless to say after spending an hour plus doing the paper work and getting screwed out of the free delivery for spending 699.00 or more.

I spent over 1200.00 on two mattresses. I did not and will not purchase the rest of the furniture that I was paying cash for. The owner was patronizing and dismissive. And after spending over 1200.00 in cash I wasn't even asked if I would like to register for their 1500.00 shopping spree give away. They did nothing to even try and appease me when I said I would be happy to take my business elsewhere if dilivering to Braidwood would be to much trouble.

By the way the young sales woman seemed terrified of her boss. We really felt bad for her. And the mattresses will take 2 weeks to come in. Need I say more Luann. Justed wondering who paid you for your review, because my experience sucked and I will tell everyone I know.

Place is a joke, I ordered furniture on a Monday still not to receive it on a Thursday the next week i can see that if it was custom but its ashley furniture and people are ignorant to talk to besides traci she was nice long story short go to a big name store it's the same stuff with better service

I recently purchased a bunkbed here and it turned out that I did not need the bed and wanted to return it only after 2 weeks from purchase date. I never even opened the box or the mattress. They also said that my purchase was special order, but I had to pickup at warehouse 2 days later and salesperson told me its a popular floor model and just didn't have any in stock at time.

I don't know if the person I called was a salesperson or customer service, but they were not very nice. Even if they were able to take my return, they want a 35 percent restocking fee, which is absurd. To finish, I spent well over 5k over the years here, hence why I give them 2 stars. But, I will not step foot in this place again.

Despite the bad reviews this is a good local family business. They stuck by their extreme value center of furniture. I bought furniture from this establishment about 4 years ago and Billy worked with me to get something new and more durable. Very patient employees with good morals and values for the customer. Very large showroom floor with many options styles and pricing. Delivery/Shipment dates are reasonable according to their in store stock. Browse the Kiosk inside of the store it is a Plus. Don't knock this business until you try them. Form your own opinion!

I actually also purchased an Ashley leather couch from here. Cushion was pealing and Billy was amazing at trying to help me resolve the problem. I was very pleased with the outcome. I will certainly return to Mike's when I need any more furniture in the future. Thank you.

Used to like mikes furniture, have gone there for over 20 years and spent thousands of dollars. Had bought 2 recliners back 3/2014, along with a protection 5 year plan and was told it would cover any problems, well guess again, now had a problem with one and was told by billy at mikes and the protection plan company oh well so sad, no one cares. well I will never go to mikes again, guess nelson's in Wilmington is getting my money for the new bedroom set, bed and mattress

I bought this couch a little over a year ago and the leather started to crack in almost every seat. I'm so upset knowing I spent $2000 on a couch that will need to replaced because of the quality. The wood cracked under the foot rest leaving it to stick out and now you can't sit on that seat. When I contacted the store I was told there was nothing they could do and they were "sorry".

I will NEVER buy from again. Like another Yelper's review, I would give this place zero stars if I could. I purchased a couch with a chaise attachment, and upon delivery everything looked great with the couch. The couch has sewn-in cushions which means you cannot remove them--well after closer inspection the very next day, the backs of the sewn-on cushions were not all the way sewn up.

This is not something that you can see unless you really look down into the couch, but after you sit on it the cushions pull away and expose the un-sewn backs of the cushion. If you look down into the cracks between the cushions you can see the white stuffing sticking out. I called the store and they said they would send out a repairman--which they did--but that is all they did.

They admitted that this was a factory mistake and that they would fix it. Well that was in November of 2014 and now it's mid-May 2015. They completely gave me the run-around for months and have yet to make up for their poorly constructed merchandise. Buyers beware they do not sell quality furniture!

We bought a bedframe from there and within 2 weeks of puchasing it, one of the legs broke! We were planning to buy more from them in the future but not anymore. Bad quality!

If I could give this dump zero stars I would. My husband and I went there on Saturday to buy a couch and love seat that they had in their ad. The ad clearly said clearance prices PLUS either 24 months financing with zero interest of 5 % off if paid in full at time of purchase. We chose 5 % off. Besides us there were 3 other customers.we had a hard time tracking down a salesperson and when we did she was training someone and was not very helpful.

When we decided we would like to purchase the set we were at the counter with the salesgirl and she added up the total. I asked her to please add in the 5% discount and she did. All of a sudden the owner comes out and right away has an attitude and tells us the 5% is already added into the price. I asked him to show me where on the ad does it say that and he couldn't.instead he closed the ad real fast and told us that's how it is.

So basically for $53 he was not willing to budge even though he knew that they either 1. Made a mistake or 2. Just didn't care. We politely told him we were going to pass and started walking away and he got very sarcastic and yelled " Reading is a skill people." EXCUSE ME? How dare you.what kind of OWNER says that to customers? We were willing to buy something from your dirty, dusty store and instead of being grateful for a sale on a prime Saturday when your store is EMPTY, you got ignorant and insulting.

Well needless to say we called another furniture store that had the exact same set and they were wonderful and friendly and we spent our money there. Never again will I go to this store. Guess he does not need money or business. Also beware when you are walking through here, they have floorboards set up in the middle between the displays and they were cheaply made and I almost tripped about 5 times. Lawsuit waiting to happen!

I can remember when this guy started out, selling wooden furniture in a flea market, now he has his own store and real furniture, his prices are not too bad, a good place to go if your trying to get good stuff at fair prices.
