Hubbingtons Furniture Back in the early 90's my wife and I thought about opening up a furniture store. Our aim was to sell only better quality furniture in a relaxed setting. We thought if we could offer similar prices to those distant retailers, then people would be willing to drive to touch/feel and buy from someone in New England.

I placed an order for a piece and was told it would be "8 to 12 weeks" Well, 12 turned into 18+ I keep getting the runaround from my salesperson. No one ever calls and I have to keep checking on the order. I would cancel but it's exactly what I need to match other pieces. Salesperson was a bit pushy. I asked her if she works on commission, she said "NO". Well, I have since heard that is not true- they ALL get commissions.

Every furniture store does. I just feel like I was misled from the beginning and wish I had gone elsewhere. I talked to the owner about the problems and got more of a runaround from him. I have heard rumours they are closing this store. Now I know why!
