Gasperetti ROBT M Meticulously crafting one of a kind, heirloom quality furniture in my Vermont studio for over 40 years. Much of my furniture is inspired by Shaker, Mission, and Arts and Crafts Style as well as modern day masters: Sam Maloof, George Nakashima, and James Krenov. I believe in simple, functional furniture meticulously crafted with quality materials. I take great pride in the selection of the wood and the time-consuming task of placement and matching of grain and color. I refer to this as composing the piece.
Services
In adhering with Vermont's simple lifestyle, I think you'll find my terms fair and uncomplicated. With all custom orders I require a 50% deposit. This deposit secures your position on my calendar and allows me to buy the materials I need or set aside the materials if I already have them. As business decisions are made based on your commitment, deposits are not refundable. Should your needs change your deposit can be applied to another custom order providing work has not started on the original piece.
Thanks so much for the maintenance kit. I have already used it and the table looks even more beautiful than before, if that is possible. I still stroke that gorgeous piece of furniture every day and say blessings for its arrival in the life of the Poe family. I certainly hope that my grandchildren, when they inherit it, will know its origins.
While it's true a picture is worth a thousand words and we have done our very best to create a web site that shows the work I do as accurately as possible, you aren't able to "see and feel the difference" while gazing at a computer monitor. There are many fine wood craftsmen, but there are very few of us who go the extra mile to create a truly exceptional piece.
Classic dining table with beaded apron, pinned mortise and tenon joints. Consider adding a drawer at each end for silverware, linens, etc. or drawers on the long side for a great writing desk. Also called "Antoinette's Purse Table" after the client who commissioned it to have a place to keep her purse which she was always misplacing.
