I bought a couch here tonight. What a wonderful experience I had. Diane Demyanovich is an exceptional Saleswoman. She made the whole process so easy for me. She helped me pick out the perfect couch for my very specific situation that required particular criteria. She gave me all the answers I was looking for. She was so kind and explained things so well. We needed 2 new electric power recliners to replace broken ones. Anya and Erica were both very patient and helpful. I explained what we were looking for and they showed us those recliners. Unfortunately, they didn't meet our needs. However, they showed us others in the recliner section and clearance center. We found what we were looking for and purchased them.

They also explained their delivery policy and directly answered questions about the differences between their regular price section and clearance center. Overall, a great experience. However, we were extremely disappointed with their prices. They are much higher, even in the clearance center, than Art Van, which is now out of business. We ended up paying over $2500 for 2 recliner chairs, including delivery, which is $150. And we only live 7 minutes away from the store! I was hoping to get an additional discount since we were buying 2 chairs or free delivery since we are so nearby the store.

Pulled the plug and bought a new sectional. or so I thought. Ordered in store their shelby township MI location. I ordered a sectional, matching ottoman and rug on March 30th. EVERYTHING in stock. When they delivered it the rug and ottoman were correct BUT the sectional was a completely different color. They apologized and were going to come back the next day with the correct one. GUESS WHAT? THEY DELIVERED THE SAME WRONG SECTIONAL!

Oh and it gets worse it is not in stock. Part of it is but part of it is not. I've been given dates several times of when to expect it in stock and it keeps getting pushed out. I called earlier and now I'm being told middle of June. I am so frustrated and angry. I was told to take partial delivery because I can take the risk of what is currently in stock also not being in stock once the other piece finally comes in. OR go back to the store and shop! Ummmm they have had my money since March and I have no couch. Beyond furious

Best experience I've had with a furniture store! We bought two beautiful couch sets for incredibly good deals (Christine D was very helpful and accommodating!) The white glove delivery was also very efficient, polite and affordable as well. Highly recommend this store!

My husband and I were in desperate need of a new mattress (since the one we had he had gotten well over 12 years ago), and the sales rep at Gardner White took into consideration our budget and helped us find a mattress that suited both our needs at a great cost! (We were assisted by Christine, who we both enjoyed working with). We were additionally happy to have our mattress home delivered the next day (on a weekend), and they gladly took away our old mattress. We were very happy with our purchase, and will definitely look to Gardner White again for future purchases.

We ordered a kitchen table set in August 2021 and the chairs and bench to use it still have not arrived keep getting delayed. GW's solution is to provide chairs from a different set which do not match and won't allow us to return the table. Beyond frustrating.

Unbelievable! PLEASE check your furniture. I never post a review but it would be a disservice to other consumers if I don't. First and last time dealing with them for new furniture because that's not what they deliver. They will deliver something returned by someone else. After several deliveries of damaged or used furniture I specifically wanted everything left in the original box delivered to the home.

Simple request. Simple instructions. It didn't happen. Now imagine this happening to your 88 year old grandmother If t didn't have someone in there corner helping them

The store and it's sales people are great. They are very attentive and helpful when it comes to selecting furniture and explaining the costs and financing, if you have any. I can't say the same about the delivery people. However, when I had an issue with one of the drivers delivering my furniture, customer service didn't hesitate to help me resolve the issue. They definitely seem to care about the quality of service their customers receive not only in store, but during delivery as well.

Extremely disappointed regarding my experience purchasing a new mattress. Christine, the sales consultant, was absolutely professional and helped me decide on my mattress. I was very pleased with the experience until the delivery crew the next evening informed me that my adjustable head base was in back-order. I inquired when it would be available and was informed the earliest availability would be the beginning of April.

I was offered a choice of either receiving a flat, basic foundation until my correct foundation was delivered or pay $300 additional for the head & foot adjustable base. I spoke with Mariana, the store manager, and she informed me that the most she could do is take $100 off the upgraded foundation. I attempted to explain my position that having to wait 6-8 weeks for the foundation I ordered was worth $300.

This plea fell on deaf ears. She claimed it was corporate policy and she had no authority to comp the foundation. Unbelievable. Needless to say, the bed has been returned. If someone from the corporate office would like to rectify this sale & keep a good customer, feel free to contact me.

This place was great. I suffer from severe back pain and I needed a new mattress. Mike was so empathetic and understanding to my needs, and showed me the best options within my price range. I really appreciated his kindness when it came to my pain and he made sure I was in great hands. Came to my house the next day and I'm very happy with the product. I'll never shop anywhere else! I am very impressed with the customer service I received when purchasing my new bed. Gene went out of his way to make sure I received my preferred delivery time slot and was very knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions and made me feel very confident in my purchase. If you're looking for a new bed, I highly recommend going to Gardner White and asking for Gene.

Gardner White such a scam. I will never ever shop there, and I will also let people know how they work. I purchased a bed room set July 2021. Still haven't received money was taking from me. Haven't received anything. It was only 2 pieces. Went back did an exchange, and of course had to pay another $485.00. And NOT one apology. They don't care at all as long as they get paid, that's all that matter. I went to the one in SHELBY ON HALL ROAD. NEVER EVER AGAIN. horrible service Gardner white in general.no stars

We worked with Tom who was very nice and helpful. Despite being there at the end of the day near closing, he never made us feel rushed. We were able to get next day delivery on all of the items but one, which will be only a few weeks. Overall, very happy with the experience and looking forward to our new furniture.

Purchased the Lynwood sofa/loveseat for $2k and after 30 days, was miserably uncomfortable and had back pains fr7om sitting in the chaise end and had an indent already (I weigh 185). Took it into a professional upholstery and they said these had very cheap cushions in them. They replaced them all with high resilience foam and added a ton of stuffing into the backings because they were significantly lacking.

The backs barely reached the end of the cushions so there was no back support. So I spent another $1000 to fix these because GW wouldn't take them back. VERY CHEAP! I ended up giving this set to relatives and purchased Lazy Boy, WORTH EVERY PENNY!

I worked with Christine at the Warren location of Gardner White and she has been completely amazing to work with. I came into the store looking for something very particular and she was incredibly patient with me and provided me with all the options. Her customer service is above and beyond what I have experienced at any other furniture store. She was also honest and realistic with me regarding the timeline to expect the delivery given that it's a custom order during a time with manufacturer supply chain delays.

The only reason I gave a 4 star is because I came back into the store at a later date to complete the purchase. Christine wasn't there, so I was helped by someone else who told me she wasn't able to complete my order because she didn't know how to process custom orders in the system and suggested I come back when Christine was there instead of taking care of the purchase herself. I would've liked to order the couch sooner, but I now feel much more comfortable that Christine took care of my order because I know it'll be correct.

They are the worst company ever, we bought a bedroom set for my 4 year old son who never slept on it I had a guest that came to spend the night so she slept on the bed next day I'm fixing the sheet the bed leg broke I called them they didn't do anything about it because we missed the warranty period by one week! That is ridiculous! I will never advise any one to buy from Gardner White

Take a recorder with you irregardless if you talk with them in the store, on the phone or they come to your home. They ALL are not consistent in what they sayThey never honor what they sayI even had a friend present and it still DOES NOT MATTER I would highly suggest go somewhere else! Unless you don't mind getting a mattress you did not order! if you want exchange 1.

You must have the WARRANTY that gives you a mattress cover, if not you are out of luck! 2. it will cost you more money even though the one you chose is a $1,500 cheaper than the original mattress. plus $600 plus taxes

Worst place ever to buy furniture from. I bought an electric recliner from there and two months later the motor failed in it. Called to set up service appointment and was told they would be out in eight days. The day of the service appointment and no call no show, called their office only to find out the person I talked to never put us in the system, now I have to wait another week for someone to come out again.

I understand things break or go bad but for someone to just not do their job and book the appointment is ridiculous. And this is after multiple delays in getting this recliner delivered when promised. I will never buy furniture from them again.

Summary: Would absolutely NEVER do business with this company. They gave us damaged and used furniture, had us wait more than 6 months for replacement couches after they had told us it would take a few weeks), and as a remedy, they said "we can give you $80 back" on a more than $5,000.00 order. They, they forced us to pay another $130.00 for them to pick up their own damaged furniture. WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!

More detailed: Bought two couches from here. They were significantly damaged and obviously used (big of chips in wood, stains on seats, holes in couch, and back not attached to frame). We went back and ordered two new couches in April. They were to come in May. In May they said June, June they said July, July they said August, and in August they said they don't know when they'll be delivered.

I called to ask them what was going on. They forwarded me to corporate, who said that, for the damaged couches we can refund you $80 (5% of one of the couches). We bought more than $5,000.00 in furniture, got two heavily damaged items that were clearly used, waited almost 6 months, and were offered $80.00 to be quiet. They then wouldn't return our deposit.

They needed to take out around $130.00 for "delivery fee." On broken couches, they wanted us to pay for them to take them back. Would never do business with this company. Very bad, and dishonest. Would do anything for money.

Save yourself a lot of trouble and shop elsewhere! Bought a king-size mattress and surprise! was told we get two free pillows with that purchase. Surprise! pillows are out of stock. After waiting a few weeks, the pillows were delivered. Surprise! They dropped off queen pillows, After numerous phone calls, being on hold forever, promises to call us "right back", leaving a message, nothing!

We finally drive to store with wrong pillows in tow. Surprise! they tell us they don't even carry king-size pillows! So stupid it's almost funny. If I buy a king bed, why would they think I want queen pillows? Why couldn't they just tell me that over the phone? Why couldn't they just return a simple phone call? Anyone?

Not sure how this business stays in business.horrible service. Ordered a sofa. Over two weeks later no notice to when it would be delivered, called the store, no record of my order. No manager to speak too.told a call back would come through in 24 hours. Ridiculous. Then a manager stated the cost to ship the sofa would be more than the $500.00 sofa.and they lied saying they sent an email about this to me which was a lie.they just had canceled my order. Ridiculous To top it off thus sofa sells for $175.00 less at other stores. I only ordered from them because they stated in their ad free shipping.then they recanted saying only free shipping in state. This is dishonest and misleading advertisement.

Never will i buy furniture from them again. Purchase sectional September 2020. Got it November 2020 defective. part order December 2020 received May 2021. Repair guy came to install today its the wrong part. Now i Have a $3,000 sectional with a gap until they figure out what to do. No apology no nothing its like oh well you just wait for us. I have contacted the BBB and a lawyer

Update. After the worst furniture purchasing experience of my life these IDIOTS finally deliver my sofa sleeper.one problem, they forgot the mattress that goes inside of it. They are telling me it'll be 20 weeks before it arrives Now listen, DO NOT SHOP HERE GARDNER WHITE IS A SCAM I HOPE THEY GO UNDER AND FILE FOR BANKRUPTCY BEVAUSE THEY ARE INCOMPETANT SCUM. Go to Bob's discount furniture, Macy's hell ANYWHERE BUT HERE Gardner white will take your money and treat you like absolute trash

Ok I do have quite an update. Our couch and loveseat were actually ready sooner than the 6-8 week window so we were called to get delivery scheduled. This first delivery was quick with two people handling the delivery. One of them reclined all of the chairs and didn't say that he noticed anything wrong with them. After my husband got home and we had a chance to sit for a bit and try out all of the seats, we noticed that one of the recliners was grinding and when my husband took a look he saw that the motor was off track, contributing to the grinding.

We both then inspected everything a little more closely and that's also when my husband noticed that one of the legs of the loveseat had a screw head sticking out of the bottom and he was worried that it would scratch our floors. I called Customer Service the next day to tell them about the issues. They said that they actually had another set in the warehouse that they could switch out for us, which they did within a few days.

The second delivery was with two different people than the first delivery. These two seemed a lot more careful about cleanliness and about not knocking into the door jambs, etc. However because they were more careful about everything, they noticed that not only was there one screw head on the loveseat, there were several more on the couch and also the loveseat.

Apparently they are attached to a board that is used in the truck to prevent any damage happening to the furniture in transportation and the previous delivery people were not as conscientious about doing everything correctly. He inspected the floor and noticed several scratches and also a gouge in the floor from these screws. I was told to call customer service, which I did the next day and explained what happened.

They had someone come out to inspect the damage and take pictures. He also fixed up the floor so well that I couldn't even tell where the gouge/scratches were. He did a really great job. So overall, everything is fine and I am happy with our purchase and customer service.

Complete disaster. NO follow through 4 of the 5 pieces of bedroom furniture were delivered damaged A dresser after being inspected by the service technician was not able to be repaired The service technician forgot to bring the missing hardware for the dresser mirror There will be another delay on the re-delivery of the dresser

I purchased a couch in October 2019 the couch has now cracked and peeled on the cushion. When the technician came out he called it normal wear and tear and the store now refuses to do anything to fix the situation. This is totally unacceptable and I'm embarrassed to have people sit on this couch. Do not buy from Gardner white!

I ordered a sectional in April and still haven't received it. Every time we go in we're told two weeks and as of today we still haven't heard from them. I would have gotten a refund and moved on by now however I ordered two of these and only received one. If I cancel I won't have a matching set. I'm highly disappointed in the poor customer service from this place. I understand the pandemic has complicated everything but why not be honest with customers?

I've been to this Gardner-White location several times before, and have purchased furniture a few years ago from this location. I remember my experience being ok back then, nothing that was extremely impressing, but nothing that I felt was an issue. However, most recently (5 days ago), I visited this location again after visiting other furniture stores in the area.

I already had in mind what I was looking for, and so once I entered the store, I was greeted by a salesman, and he directed me to the furniture items I was looking for. The sales person name was Abir (I'm not sure correct spelling; however he made a joke to say it was pronounced "A-Beer"). So all in all, he was a nice salesman, and I had no issues with the service. Seeming that the store has only probably been re-open for the last two weeks or so, the store was very crowded as expected, but service was very fast.

And I was even more surprised, well impressed that after I ordered and paid for the furniture, I was able to schedule for delivery for two days later. So my order was delivered two days later, no issue, quick delivery and set up, with no issues. So I was very satisfied with my recent experience at Gardner-White, and I actually plan to order a few more items from the store; and I'm still pending one item for delivery once the store receives new shipment.
