ECOpdx We are situated in a 100+-yr-old brick warehouse building that used to house a vinegar distillery. Our highly skilled team consists of woodworkers, carpenters, welders, designers, CNC operators, and finishers. We work closely with architects, designers, contractors, and homeowners to create beautiful custom design-builds, all while using sustainable practices and materials. Our custom orders consist of everything from special order cutting boards to restaurant/office/home build-outs, and we take pride in every one of our projects.
Services
Our client wanted to add some warmth to their "concrete jungle". Building a Western Red Cedar deck and adding slat-wall cladding to the concrete walls was the perfect solution! This deck will be enjoyed for years to come.
These live-edge tables were made for our friends at Nossa Familia Coffee. This merge of functionality and aesthetics create beautiful focal points to the space, as well as improve our connectivity with our nature.
This classic spindle bed was made for a client who wanted to match the existing whitewashed furniture in her room. Both CNC and traditional lathe work was used to turn solid Ash wood into beautiful forms.
Our lead designer was inspired to design a coffee table that appeared to be molded out of clay. With legs of all different diameters, these tables have unique looks at each viewing angle. The focal point of the room whether solo or in tandem.

We brought a once in a lifetime 6in thick 8ft long slab of IRONWOOD to Eugene and his shop. They helped transform this very special item into the most incredible family table, keeping the live edges natural yet clean, the openings in the wood filled with a neat resin that allow just a touch of light to come through. It is a multigenerational piece that our family will have for generations. Kind, methodical, detailed - these guys are wonderful craftsmen. Its worth the wait to have something made (they are busy with projects cause of how amazing they are). We are already thinking up a new project to commission. THANK YOU!

Bought a bar height dining room table last fall, and still consider it a centerpiece of our apartment. Visiting a friend today who we gave a recommendation to for a custom made dining room table by ECOPDX and am again impressed by their work. Would definitely get more pieces from them if we ever move to a bigger space.

Masters at work. Eugene and his crew put blood, sweat, and tears into this job. We had a limited window of time before we had to move and Eugene was able to speed through and deliver in time! The table is our memory of Portland and it's the centerpiece to our bye home on the east coast. Highly recommend them and hope to cross paths again.

Had them build a wheelchair ramp in my garage. Amazing work! They responded to my initial request for a quote within an hour of me submitting it and immediately scheduled time to come out, take measurements and do a free consultation. I've never worked with a company this responsive and professional. They showed up on time, wore masks (correctly!), and made sure to get my approval during every step of the project.

They even worked late during the first day of the project so that the ramp would be usable even if it wasn't entirely finished. When they left, they made sure to clean up all of the sawdust and wood chips in my garage and leave it better than they found it. In addition to the quality of their work, they're also very upfront about the cost of the projects they work on and can even accept payment via Apple Pay. They just email you an invoice and you can pay for it right there on your phone. I will absolutely be calling this company for future work on my house.

I worked with Eugene at EcoPDX to make a custom counter height walnut butcherblock table for my clients' newly remodeled home. Eugene's correspondence was always punctual and he and his crew constructed the table on time and as specified. The craftsmanship of the walnut butcherblock is gorgeous. We were happy to learn that the wood pieces used in the butcherblock were scraps from their other projects, making this a truly eco-friendly piece of furniture. I highly recommend EcoPdx and hope to work with them again in the future.

I now have four pieces of EcoPDX artful handcrafted furniture in my home. I purchased my first piece 10 years ago so when it was time to work with a company to create my dining room table it was a no brainer. EcoPDX was my choice. The planning meetings were professional. All of my emails were answered. Today my table was delivered along with the bench. It is exactly what I asked for and I couldn't be more proud of EcoPDX for continuing to supply quality products. Thank You!

Best purchase ever, incredible craftsmanship. I had an idea of a dining room table that I wanted - worked with Eugene at EcoPDX who was able to design an even better version of it, and I could not be happier with the result. Easy group to work with with great customer service.

Terribly disappointed in your posted hours but you're never open. Waste of time to drive all the way from Beaverton and Vancouver when you're supposedly open.

EcoPDX is a great furniture store hidden on the south side of Mississippi Avenue. The furniture is all made from rescued wood - salvaged and entombed they call it, but we had to ask for an explanation of "entombed." You can get everything from fresh cut planks to tables to room sets here, all masterfully hand-crafted. I was impressed at how reasonable the prices were, although the larger and more complicated the item the more expensive it will be of course. A great first stop when you're looking for furniture.

Contrary to some previous reviews, I don't think the prices are exceptionally high and I'm no upper crusty. They seem to do one or two styles pretty well, but don't showcase much variety. I wasn't totally wowed, but "different strokes." Also, I was the only person in the store and the guy working didn't say "hello" or even look up from his computer. For a custom furniture store, I would have expected a little engagement. I guess I'll head back over to the joinery for a bed and dresser.

Brian is an excellent furniture craftsmen with great taste in his materials. He worked very hard to design a custom table for us, accommodating our needs as best as humanly possible. He was very friendly and engaged throughout the design and building process. We are extremely happy with the beautiful kitchen island he built to our exact [and challenging] specifications. He even modified an existing table top that we liked to fit our needs. I would recommend Brian and EcoPDX to anyone looking for beautiful and well-made furniture.

I bought a pretty nice table and love it. I think the wood work is good. So I went back for more custom work. However, for more complicated work, they didn't explain the pricing and when we tried to make it work and asked them. They didn't want to explain to us at all and asked us to take it or leave it. I think it is a very difficult experience which we have to deal with.

I know it would be nice if we have a lot of money and do what we want and let you charge us whatever price. But when come down to a budget, we just want to make it work. And if you are not willing to cut price but replace with lower quality wood, it is hard for us to work with. We still think it is worth to visit.

Wonderful place and wonderful people! They bent over backwards to help us be as happy as possible. We purchased a wonderful console table that is not only perfect for our needs, but absolutely gorgeous, sustainable and beyond the quality of most of our furniture. The manager of the store took special care to make sure we chose the perfect piece, spent a lot of time with us, and was very flexible about pickup and even offered to help us arrange local delivery.

The best advise I have is to go often and take pictures, as they are constantly getting new pieces to the floor, and they have so many wonderful and unique pieces, your head will spin! Also, the website, which is helpful for measurements and such, doesn't compare to the physical experience as it is just not possible to ever photograph the detail, beauty and feel of the pieces. Also, to those folks thinking the prices are high- ridiculous!

The prices are actually very reasonable considering you are buying something that will out-live you, is likely made of wood much older than you, and is handcrafted and perfected. If you put that much time, energy and skill into something, then you'd be asking for double or triple what they ask! Just saying, comparing these prices to your made-in-china crap or swedish disposable lifestyle furniture is not the way to think about it.

We bought two beautiful Pearl Diver bureaus to use as nightstands several years ago. I enjoy the gorgeous wood every time I glance at them or clean the bedroom. The folks at EcoPDX are very helpful, informative and patient. We live in San Jose now but still hope to buy a bed from them eventually.

The furniture at EcoPDX is amazing looking and very unique. The rich reddish mineral colors in the entombed wood you won't find anywhere else- I haven't seen anything like it, and it's very durable to boot. I've bought a couple of pieces from them and they look fantastic in my home. They also do custom work from recycled lumber, and they built me a bar top out of old growth fir for a song of a price.

The guys down there are very friendly and willing to work with you to get you what you want. The prices are very reasonable for what you're getting. This stuff will last you a lifetime.

This place is RAD.if you are a NW hipster with a million bucks. Sadly, most pieces in the store are pricey, but they are SO beautiful. Entombed and salvaged wood means that its 100% recycled. Salvaged because the wood is pulled from underground sources through an "ecologically friendly process". They have a huge showroom on N. Interstate that's a very welcoming space.

Its filled with organic shapes that are carved and cut into benches, head boards, tables and chairs. Each one is completely different and unique. Dark, beautiful and heavy, I think you've got to have a pretty big space to fit some of their pieces in, since they could seem dark and heavy.
