Currier leather is a nice place to buy a leather sofa or other leather furniture you might like. Currier has a good selection of sofas, etc. Currier will deliver your new sofa for a fee as to be expected. The delivery personnel will take great care not to scratch, tear or otherwise hurt your very expensive furniture. Inspect your new furniture carefully.

In my experience, Mr. Currier will help you with a warranty claim from any manufacturer defects. In this regard don't expect anything more from Mr. Currier. Currier sells highly quality furniture. Know what your buying. Mr. Currier has a line he will not cross. Know that the sales personnel always defer to Mr. Currier in all matters of decision making. His word is final.

I was in Currier's Leather over the weekend with my mom and had an amazing shopping experience. I purchased a leather recliner and new rug. The staff was incredibly helpful and went WAY out of their way to help pair the perfect rug to my new recliner. The entire team there is wonderful, the prices are reasonable and the quality of leather is unmatched. I recommend Currier's to anyone wanting quality and awesome customer service

My parents went in a few weeks back to purchase a new set of couches. found a set, agreed to a deal (50% off) and wrote a check. My mom went back in by herself a few days later to make some changes and get a higher grade leather for the set. when she asked if she would be able to have the higher grade at the same 50% rate she was quoted for all grades, the older owner/ manager got involved. he stated that the quote and discounted rate that was agreed to and that they accepted deposit on, was "old and incorrect", and went on to blame his salesperson (a huge red flag). he then went on to offer 45% off- which, if a company can offer that much off or even 50% off- they are way overcharging. after showing him the paper, with his salespersons numbers and math on there and the advertised discount, the owner/manager grabbed it out of my mothers hands and crumpled it up. not only is this unprofessional, but it is a disgusting way to treat a woman; and i guarantee that if there was a man there - this guy would not have the guts to do that. i will say he was able to process the order cancelation quickly, which was the highpoint of the interaction. Currier's has lost my parents and the rest of our families and friends business due to their behavior.

It took me a few days to process what happened the other day but felt I needed to speak out. We came to your store to look for a sofa and love seat. We found a set that we loved and placed the order. Because the order was over $7000 and wouldn't come in for 6-8 months I decided I wanted to go back and double check on the color of the leather I picked.

The original salesperson wasn't there to help but there was another very helpful person. After working with her I did decide to change the leather color. I was so happy that I made the trip back. As I was waiting for the new bill I heard the gentleman behind the desk speaking pretty loudly about the bill and having trouble with adding and math.

I was the only one there so I figured that why he sounded so loud. I turned to look and he was heading to me. I was told that the lovely person who helped me before had added up my original slip incorrectly. That it was much lower than it should have been, and my new slip with a lower leather grade was higher than the original. So I asked the normal question of would they honor the original price.

I was told that they would be losing money by doing that but after a few minutes of my stating the obvious "well this isn't my error" that he would. He kept speaking poorly of the original salesperson, even telling me of another error that was made by her. At this point I said that the one step lower grade should give me another $400 off the new order and he said no he wouldn't do this because he was losing money already.

All he kept saying was he couldn't understand where she got her numbers from. So I went through my paperwork and pulled out the original slip. The original sale was working on a 50% discount rather than the 45% he was showing me. This is when he got really agitated and said that they hadn't had a 50% discount in a couple of years and where had this come from.

And I calmly said "well this isn't our fault and you should honor this discount". He then ripped the paper out of my hand and crumbled it up in his hands. I was shocked. I immediately asked for it back and my check. I couldn't believe he tried to take away the original paperwork rather than work with me after he saw that second error. I don't know if this is a normal sales tactic they use there, a bait and switch model, but it sure seemed like it to me at that point.

I hope that the original salesperson wasn't fired but I am afraid she may have been. If so I know you will find a much better and reputable place to work. Like Comment Share

My last experience with the owner was horrible. My complaint was the cushions were not stuffed enough. I have purchased 2 couches and chairs over the last 30 years wirth no problems from the same brand. Mr Currier told me I should have noticed the cushions were not as filled and requested more fill when I ordered the set. My response was I didn't know that was an option, and did not see any problem on the couch I sat on.

The fact that I as the buyer was not happy made no difference. He taunted me when I bought the cushions back. I asked him when I came in not to argue with me but he just couldn't stop. Let's se how long it will take for this issue be resolved.

Let me start by saying it was an absolute pleasure to walk into a furniture store and not feel the pressure of pushy sales people. We dealt with Stephen who just happens to be the owner and he was amazing, we love patronizing family owned businesses! We went in looking for a recliner or possibly a Stressless Chair and received an education on all the different brands and styles.

Everything they carry is quality furniture with great warranties. We purchased 2 leather Stressless Chairs at a great price with even better customer service. They loaded our chairs into our truck and we were on our way, it was quick, easy, friendly transaction. I highly recommend Curriers for your leather furniture needs, you sill not be disappointed!

We had an outstanding experience at Currier. It was only our second time into the store. The sales associate Tim was there both times. He is knowledgeable, personable and downright awesome. We bought a wonderful leather sectional and I highly recommend anyone looking for superior quality and customer service to visit the Currier Furniture store in Hampton Falls NH. Please ask for Tim. you will not be disappointed.

Sales associate was very informative and very attentive. No pressuring attitudes and extremely pleasant. In fact, we were concerned about our dog chewing a new leather couch so the associate gave us a large leather square to leave around the house to see if she would chew it! Definitely recommend for anyone looking to purchase high quality long term furniture.

I haven't bought anything, yet. But I plan too. Went to Currier's with my wife. The leather furniture is beautiful and you configure what you want, which is basically custom designed by you, for you. That's not the best thing. The people are the best thing, friendly, helpful, accommodating. It was a good shopping experience, all safely social distanced and masked. My wife knows exactly what she wants but we are moving in November so she has to wait until after the move.

Went in today 22NOV20 - the selection of recliners was extensive - the owner Steve was so informative and helpful - his wife was most friendly - we felt like family rather than customers! My opinion. this place can't be beat for price, selection, and service.so satisfied with our purchase!

We were returning customers, treated like garbage BY THE OWNER! When we first went in to buy 2 STRESSLESS chairs, it was a lovely experience. I called ahead and asked about specific sofas, was told at least 4 were on the showroom floor. Today was a busier so the salespeople were pretty busy. Good for them but no excuse to treat your customers poorly.

When I asked the (owner) "Can you please show me which sofas recline" his snide comment was NO! (Not joking). His wife was trying to help and apologized for him but too late. There are many other furniture stores to choose from, save your time and don't start here!

I originally thought this was going to be a 1 star review. I had a problem with a stressless chair I purchased. After efforts to repair it to no avail, i was told it was just the way the chair is. Squeaky! Fast forward and Ryan just dropped off a replacement chair (no cost to me) and took the old one with him. In my dealings with him i found him to be very friendly and professional.

I would also like to give a shout out to Steve the owner, he went above and beyond expectations with this transaction. I would purchase again and recommend for customer service as well as products.

What a selection! We purchased a beautiful orange leather easy chair and ottoman and stunning leather sofa. We spent hours in the store with Mr. Currier who was patient and helpful. The chair came ahead of schedule but the couch was a longer wait due to manufacturer's wait on our leather choice but it was worth the wait. Currier has something for everyone including our mid century modern choice.

I've been shopping for a sleeper sofa. I had seen the sofa I was interested in a several stores prior to going to Currier's. Given their 50 - 60 % discount claim, I assumed their price would be less than the other stores. It wasn't, it was exactly the same price as everyone else (that don't make a 50-60% discount). If you are looking for a deal skip it. If you are looking for regular priced leather furniture, it probably worth a look.

We bought our furniture almost a year ago and just recommended Currier's to a family member. Tiffany, Emily, and the owner Steve Currier assisted us. We could not be happier! It's not like chain stores where the sales people are on you like vultures. The girls wave when you walk in and when you are ready you can approach them. We went to another store in Reading MA and every 5 feet someone was trying to make a commission. Bottom line. Currier's is awesome!

My wife and I had a great experience working with Currier's to find a leather sectional. I had been doing a ton of research and was so disappointed with the sales people and prices in the Boston area that we almost bought online. Fortunately, a trip to Currier's to see a few in person before buying online turned into a great trip. They have a huge showroom and we happened to find exactly what we were after in stock.

The best part was that the prices were very competitive with the online dealer and came out cheaper with delivery factored in. Much cheaper than most dealers in the area. Stephen was great to work with. Easy going, knowledgeable and no sales pressure. We'll be back for our next piece.

Don't bother, in the market for a leather recliner looking on line and all I get from Curriers is "Call for Price".so the customer has to be inconvenienced by taking time out of their day to call the store when if they advertised their price and it was competitive they may have a customer. Any time I see "call for price:, it means we are higher than our competition but do not want to advertise it.

I was extremely happy with my time at Curriers leather furniture. I worked with Emily, she was extremely informative about the different leather types, and their durability. I explained to her that I have pets, she pointed out what leathers would work best for me and offered to let me take some samples home to try them out. I did explain to her what I was looking for as far as the chair was concerned, and she was immediately able to point out the different models that would probably work for me. I was very happy with my overall experience.

If there was minus 5 stars I would check that. I ordered a Carolina Custom Leather sofa, chair and ottoman that was over $5300.00."on sale". It was special order and was yo take 8-10 weeks. I called around week 8 to check the status and was told the manufacturer had trouble with the tannery but received the leather and would make the furniture. When the furniture arrived today ( 11 weeks and 4 days later) the quality was horrible.

The cushions were uneven. Some were stuffed at least an inch higher than others. The workmanship was terrible, crooked seams, uneven stitching and the wood frame imprint was obvious on the arms of all pieces. It felt like it wasn't padded. I have seen better quality at Bob's. I too spoke with Mr. Steve Currier the owner and was told that leather stretches and may look different and that I the high cushions needed to be "sat on" to flatten out.

I too was told that he has never had a complaint and was told to " enjoy it as much as possible". I even sent pictures, but it was clear he had no intentions of refunding my purchase. BTW the color was not correct either. We ordered french vanilla and received what I can only describe as butterscotch. I never would have chosen that color. I told Mr. Currier that I have owned leather sofas before as well as have reupholstered furniture after taking classes.

I know defects when I see them. Maine is one of ten states that has strict consumer protection rights, regardless of any contracts or warranties. The steps to file a claim were stated and I am making certain I follow them to a T. I am also filing a complaint with the credit card company, and am not using the furniture. I stated that in my email also. UPDATE 6/6/2014 I received a call from Mr. Currier and he is sending the movers to pick up the furniture next week.

I am getting a full refund! He was going to return my final payment with the movers. I advised we stopped payment already. He said" you people are unbelievable!" I told him I was following recommendations on the Maine Dept of Consumer Protection. Know your state laws.

I was surprised to read two bad reviews, so I decided to put in my experience. I was price shopping a specific leather sofa and chair. I found the best price here, bought it, arranged for delivery. All went quite smoothly. Furniture arrived and put in place efficiently. I discovered some cushion hooks were missing. A repairman was sent out, fixed the problem perfectly.

About ten years later all is still good. I remember that nailing down the delivery date and time was a bit more difficult than I would like, but overall a very positive experience.

I have no idea what the problem is with the poor reviews. I will freely admit that I was looking for a living room set for MONTHS and ignored Currier's because of the poor reviews. After looking at every store in the area, we caved and walked into Curriers very cautiously and expecting the worst! The exact opposite occurred. We were not pushed in any way and the sales girl, Tiffany, was so helpful and patient.

We found sofas and chairs we loved but again, we decided to take back the information since the bad reviews were still ever present. After 2 more months and those sofas ever present in my mind, we went back and decided to take a chance. The told us 12 weeks, but we had them in 8 and they were stunningly beautiful! The leather quality is beyond anything we could have hoped for and the colors were breathtaking!

We picked them up ourselves and the guys from the wear-house were so amazingly careful and helpful. It was almost as it was their couches! It literally took them 45 to place the sofas in our truck because they wanted to make sure absolutely nothing happened to them! My hubby was so impressed he tipped them and they were so honestly gracious insisting that we did not have to do that! My hubby had to force the tip on them :- Please give Curriers a chance! I will try to post the picture of the beautiful sofas!

Great Experience! First of all my living room set is Gorgeous! It arrived earlier than expected! (in time for Thanksgiving dinner) The staff was very knowledgeable and more than willing to educate us. We had no idea about the different grades of leather and how they would hold up with all our pets. They helped us make the right choice! The owner and the staff were the Best!

Our three chihuahuas, two cats and our German Sheppard all make themselves at home on the furniture and it looks as great as it did when we got it! We will always go to Currier's when we need leather furniture and will highly recommend them to all our friends! Thank you Currier's!

Bad experience with Currier Furniture. Purchased recliner, arranged our own pickup with rather confused young woman at desk (everything had to be repeated several times). Got a call a week before we were to pick up the chair from I think the same employee asking if they were supposed to deliver, or would we pick up. I repeated that we were picking up on Sunday June 23 and confirmed the time.

My husband got there on the 23rd with a UHaul on his way to our place in ME and Currier's was locked up tight with a sign saying they were closed Sun-Mon for their summer hours. He left without the chair with a 3 hour drive ahead of him. I called this morning and was transferred to Mr. Currier. He told me that they were always closed Sun-Mon in the summer and ignored what I told him about getting the call from the store a week before pick-up confirming the arrangements.

He just kept repeating that we were in the "customer will confirm file" and made the whole screw-up our fault. He also kept telling me he's been in business 30 years yadda and had had no problems. The clear implication was that I was lying about the call from his employee and was a problem customer. He refused to listen to what I told him, refused to take responsibility at all for what was clearly Currier's mistake in not informing us they were closed, and offered nothing.

I could pay $300 to have the chair delivered or go to the expense of renting a truck for another long weekend to get the chair up to ME. One of the worst customer service experiences I've had in years.

I would NOT recommend this furniture store at all. I just went yesterday and received the WORST customer service ever. There were three sales rep on the floor, two of them seemingly more experienced, but selective about what customer they would serve. We talked to the most inexperienced sales and she basically didn't know much, though she tried.

When we asked to see a sofa bed, the male sales abruptly and rudely said "No, it's the same as the other ones in the closeout room". I assumed that he didn't realized that we are serious buyers. Basically, their selling point is no sales tax on furniture and delivery, which comes to one to two hundred if anyone is to invest around two to four thousand dollars on furniture.

We gave them a few other opportunities to show us more products, but they failed the test. At the end, we left with disappointment and went to Circle Furniture, back in Mass, we know it has higher pricing, but we know we're paying for quality products and services. We ended making a big purchase there.
