Very considerate and thoughtful manager, during a visit in Bay St. Louis during the annual Lundi Gras Parade.

Great place to stop and check out all the good old stuff they have! The owners are super friendly and if you're looking for something specific.

We always stop here to see what new items they might have. Second Saturday in Bay St Louis is always fun! Live music in a few places too.

Great variety of unique items. Pleasant and fun personnel. Something new almost daily. You should visit at least once a week so you don't miss that something you've always wanted. And it's a little like Cheers - if you're a regular customer who likes to chat with the awesome ladies behind the counter, they'll all know your name

Worst phone call ever, I work in home health care with the elderly. I am at work with a client that has a collection of miniature shoes that numbers over a thousand. She asked me if I knew of anyone that could appraise her collection. I collect antiques myself and thought of your store. Called and S immediately said she was not interested, I wanted to ask for an appraisal not to sell, or if they knew someone, didn't get that far before I was hung up on. Tried to call back and got no answer.

You got my name so delete me from your 2nd Sunday emails. I will continue to post every time I receive one. Thanks for your pervious business but I will not return to store again.

Typical antique and knick-knack kind of a store. They have some interesting items, but unless you get to deal with one of the many vendors who make up the shop, don't expect to get to "deal" on the prices. Which is pretty disappointing because I have never been to one of this type of store without at least some minor negotiating over prices. One of the vendors there was super nice in helping us get the best price by taking the time to call another vendor, talk to her about my wife's offer and close the deal for us.

On the other hand, the store manager was not intersted in dealing at all, or calling to talk to the vendor about an offer. The price listed is the price you're going to pay. Period. Lots of neat things but if we can't talk directly with the vendor, we won't be buying very often.

RUDE, RUDE, RUDE! I recently spent 10 weeks in the Biloxi/Gulfport area and visited many, if not all of the antique stores nearby. I arrived early in Bay St. Louis on a Saturday and waited well over an hour for this shop to open as I was consumed with the thrill of the hunt. I am aware of the rules of the game, and I never try to buy an item at an unfair price. However, asking if the prices are negotiable is permitted. An elderly woman with a lot of spunk and no salesmanship very rudely told me that haggling for items that were under twenty dollars was never accepted.

Her point well conveyed using a high-pitched tone, but in an effort to assert herself she was downright rude with me. After about an hour in her shop, I am ready to take my selections to the counter. I ask her to show me a piece in a glass case in one of the rooms towards the back. Again, with a high-pitched tone and mean demeanor, she asks me for the number of the glass case.

I tell her I didn't know they were numbered. While ranting and raving she tries to educate me regarding the numbering system on her glass cases. I try to tell her that I am just a tourist, I don't care to learn her system. I just want to make a purchase. She opens the glass case and informs me that she does not want to dig through all the items, if I am not serious about buying.

At that point, I have enough of her, and inform her that I don't need to see any further. I pay for what I have on the counter and leave. In another nearby shop, two ladies approach me, informing me that the lady at the Antique Maison was extremely rude to me. They also felt uncomfortable with her demeanor and left her store. RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!

Antique Masion is one of the most unique shops in The Bay. It's also a place that reminds me of being a kid, so that makes it even better. When I was a kid my mom would drag me to antique stores all over the New Orleans area. I couldn't stand it at first because my immature brain couldn't understand why someone would want old junk. But those trips must've had an effect because I love antique shops now.

This shop is packed to the gills with items of all different types. There is furniture, trinkets, books and pretty much anything you can imagine for sale. Some of the items that I thought were particularly cool were the old costume jewelry and old signs that adorned the walls. If you're in the Bay and want to shop for unique items, this is a place that you should check out.

As an avid antique shopper, I value three things: friendliness, cleanliness and great selection. This shop exceeded my expectations, and is one of the best shops I've been to. Their items were beautiful and reasonably priced. The store was large and inviting. Unfortunately, everything I had my eye on was sold. Lol go figure. Their furniture pieces were beautiful, and I would have purchased if we had a larger vehicle. This is a definitely a must stop if you're in the area.

They had a lot of stuff. A lot of it wasn't of great value (although it all is to someone I suppose), but there were a few things that were really nice. Cast iron skillets for days, and the prices were fantastic. If I didn't have several at home already I would have bought several more! So nice! That was the highlight of this place I think.

They did have some other cool stuff. There really wasn't much for furniture, not much for jewelry, but worth checking out. There was an older gentleman there that I suspect is the owner who was sweet as could be. I will return.

"Do you like antique stores?" This was the question I was asked by my friend who loves them. No. No I don't. I hate them actually. Let me rephrase that. Hated them. In the past all the antique stores I've patronized have been crowded, stuffy and smelling of mothballs. I hate crowds, hate shit all slammed against one another and don't even get me started on olfactory assaults. I'm glad I opened my mind and finally went to Antique Masion.

This place is huge. I could (and did) get lost in here for hours. They carry lots of local art in addition to really cool antiques from old kitchen items to things salvaged from ships. I saw old newspapers and magazines documenting Hurricane Camille which made me a little sad but this is coming from the girl who saved all of her Times Picayune newspapers from Katrina. Do I like antique stores? Yes. Yes I do. Now.

Clean, much bigger than it looks. Encouraged us to get $20 in Magnolia bucks for each adult at visitors center. Bought a lot, on our repeat list.

Rude. Rude. Rude. I called to see if they were open and a woman answered, asked if I was calling to sell something, then proceeded to tell me she was too busy to talk- then the phone cut off. Bad connection, I optimistically assumed (so not the case). So I made my way downtown and into the shop which was completely empty. After milling around for 25 minutes without seeing any store representatives I finally heard someone clip-clopping their way down the hall.

I recognized the voice from the phone. The older woman with grey hair then proceeded to take me to every space in the store and began aggressively trying to sell me things. It became very clear to me that she had ZERO knowledge of antiques- then she tells me she's the OWNER! I couldn't believe it. It's a pity that the people that rent or consign there have to deal with such an unprofessional and ignorant business owner.

I tried for another 25 minutes to leave and was chased out the door with a handful of magazines, brochures, etc. I will NEVER go back there again. The whole place was a mess and there was really nothing there that was worth putting up with all of that. I took my business to the cuter shops down the street. Such a great town to have such a terrible store!

This is a nice store, even though it doesn't have a ton of antiques. There's a few pieces of antique furniture and some nice antique tools and trinkets. There's also a fair amount of glassware and costume jewelry. The place has a lot of items from local artists, including vintage-style jewelry, crafts, local kitsch, etc. Definitely worth a visit.
