American Backyard

We purchased our outdoor chairs in April, almost $2000 paid in full and promised a 3-4 week delivery. It's been 7 weeks. We cannot reach them by phone. Have been calling for days. No one answers the phone and mailbox is full. Very disturbing and frustrating!

We've had a great experience with American Backyard. Family owned, and we worked with Anthony who was awesome! He gave us design plans for our deck to see furniture layout options, we ordered and got a call the day the items arrived, with delivery just a few days later. We'll continue to shop here as we build out our outdoor living!

This family-owned business was very nice and helpful. Received our sectional in 2 weeks as promised. The delivery guys were also very nice and careful. I was more pleased than expected! Love, love it! This is the place to go for outdoor furniture at good prices. Thank you Anthony

Still waiting for my furniture cushions to arrive. It's been almost 4 months since my order. No one cares to call and update on the delay. That's poor customer service. Of course the furniture itself took much longer to arrive than what was promised as well.

American backyard has a great selection of high quality outdoor furnishings. They carry all the name brands at great prices. There is so much inventory to choose from and the product ships quickly even with custom fabrics. The friendly staff is knowledgeable on product with no pressure. I love visiting the showroom to find the latest trends.

We have used American Backyard three times in the past two years. Each time it has been a great experience, and we have gotten beautiful furniture and accessories for our backyard. We bought patio furniture past few days ago. Very attentive and friendly service. Tyler took care of our specific needs and answered all questions. There was no pushy sales person image there. Products are of very good quality. What you find at Home Depot and Lowes are much inferior quality, however if your budget is lower than furniture is still available. This is our second big purchase from them! We would defiantly go back!

Wow! What a showroom. Not what I expected at all. Everything is high end stuff without any sales guys chasing you around the store. I guess I expected what you get at a regular indoor furniture store, high pressure sales tactics from commissioned sales staff. Not at all. I guess that's why the negative reviewers posted that nobody asked them if they needed help. It's because they don't want to pressure anyone I assume. The huge selection of top quality outdoor furniture speaks for itself.

If you like the comfort of buying from a reputable company, yet you love the individualized experience you receive from a smaller business relationship, then this is where you should shop. This business is owned by guys who really seem to love what they do, and it shows. I bought my Big Green Egg here. I will buy my next gas logs here for sure. They always recommend what works well, and when there is something that I may be considering that they don't feel that I really need, they tell me.

Not only have they sold me many products, they are always there helping me feel confident that I can succeed in using them myself. Honestly, these guys are amazing! It's like having an expert next door neighbor recommending something that works well for them and sharing their expertise.

I am not sure why the other reviews are negative. as I have had very positive experiences at American Backyard! Perhaps the "happy" customers are the ones who never take the time to right a review. At any rate, the sales staff are not aggressive to "sell" as you walk in the front door, but are indeed most helpful, and even very good with design questions when asked.

I think it is their perspective not to appear "pushy", but they are certainly kind and friendly. I have bought several pieces and sets from this store through the years and they have assisted me in new purchases, restoration of very old pieces, and in the couple of times I have had an issue with anything, they are very reactive to "make things right". Plus, I am a "shopper", and find that their floor samples, tent sales and other sales offer some great buys. Don't be too quick to listen to the negative. take it from a long time satisfied customer!
